My skin has improved a lot since using La Roche-Posay products. I especially love the Toleriane line (for sensitive skin)! Application/Absorption: When pumped, it comes out slightly thick, but spreads smoothly on the skin. It doesn't feel like it's sinking in or absorbing deeply. This cream definitely doesn't give a firming or tightening sensation. It's a cream that sits on top of the skin rather than absorbing. This 'floating' feeling seems to actually reduce skin irritation. Effectiveness: True to its sensitive skin formula, it feels incredibly gentle on the skin. It's as light as if you've applied nothing at all. While it doesn't provide deep hydration, it does moisturize the skin's surface well. Those with very dry skin might find the hydration insufficient. It does have a rich feel, but the refined, transparent, and clean oil sensation doesn't feel sticky or heavy. - Acne breakouts! Possibly due to the shea butter, applying too much can sometimes cause blemishes. - Triggers redness! While it's genuinely soothing, perhaps due to the PEG ingredients, it occasionally induces redness. It seems to lack in calming existing redness or flushing. - Rich texture Although it has a clean and refined richness, it might be too heavy for combination dehydrated or oily skin types to use before makeup. - ru******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 20, 2024
This product is truly amazing... I used to live without knowing what dry skin felt like, but about two years ago, I started feeling extreme tightness and dryness. Even after trying various creams and oils for my skin barrier, the dryness persisted. However, with this product, I hardly feel any dryness, so I keep coming back to it. You only need to pump once or twice to apply. The texture isn't too thick, so it doesn't pill even when applied before makeup in the morning. It doesn't feel overly rich either. It's just perfect. While one or two pumps are sufficient, it's quite expensive for the amount you get. The packaging has some kind of inner container inside the plastic bottle - I'm not sure what the intention is, but it seems unnecessary. Nevertheless, I plan to keep purchasing it. Apply this as a final step after your toner and serum. - yo****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 8, 2024
Works wonders for extremely sensitive skin. After struggling with dermatitis, this is the only product I use now. (Other dermatologist-recommended brands like Physiogel all cause blemishes for me) The price is steep and it runs out quickly. I seem to go through a whole bottle in just two weeks When I have a skin flare-up, this is the only thing I apply - sh*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 4, 2024
There are two versions of this product, and this one is the 48-hour long-lasting moisturizer with a hydrating formula. It seems ideal for those with dry skin or anyone looking for a rich texture. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I bought this to lock in moisture after exfoliating and applying hydrating serums in my evening routine. Applying too much can lead to excess oiliness, potentially causing small blemishes. If you plan to use it before makeup, make sure to use a small amount and let it absorb well. Overapplying can result in pilling, similar to dead skin cells rolling off. - di********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedMay 1, 2024
I have oily skin with redness and sensitivity, so I couldn't settle on any emulsion or toner and tried various products. Then, my dermatologist recommended this, and I've been using it consistently for 2 years now. I apply it morning and evening, and it absorbs well into the skin without feeling sticky. I even suggested it to a friend who's now using it regularly too. You should definitely give it a try! There's not really anything to complain about, but after the recent reformulation, I feel like the hyaluronic acid content might have been reduced compared to before. - Hwahae UserDry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 12, 2024
Great for dry skin. It feels slightly rich at first, but once absorbed, it feels lightweight on the skin. It's expensive. I wish there was more product. The emulsion tends to clump at the opening, so you need to clean it well. - id******Oily SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 17, 2024
I've tried so many emulsions and creams that often cause blemishes, so I'm honestly satisfied with any product that doesn't break me out. Too oily, and I get blemishes; too dry, and my pores get dehydrated and clogged, leading to more blemishes. I first tried La Roche-Posay's Effaclar cream, but this Toleriane I'm using now is equally non-comedogenic and even more hydrating, which I love. With Effaclar, I had to add a drop of oil for it to work well, but this one is great as a standalone emulsion. Actually, both this and Effaclar are called creams, but they're really more like emulsions. Anyway, I'm super satisfied with it. There's nothing particularly bad, but... Oh, I do think all La Roche-Posay creams come in rather small sizes. It would be great if they came in larger quantities and were a bit more affordable. Although it's called a cream, it's actually an emulsion, so let's apply a separate cream if needed. - hs*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 6, 2024
Despite being a cream, it had an emulsion-like texture that absorbed quickly, leaving my skin deeply hydrated with no deep dryness. It finished with a matte feel, making it perfect for those with oily skin too. No wonder it's called an SOS cream! When my skin was in terrible condition, just one day of use calmed down all my small blemishes. I tend to apply it generously, so I go through it quickly. At $32, the small size means it's not the most cost-effective option. Still, the results are so good that I'm on my fourth tube. Pro tip: Buy from the official La Roche-Posay website using their monthly coupons. You'll rack up more points and get the best price. - sa******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 18, 2024
First off, it's incredibly soft and smooth. It seems to give an Inner Glow and feels deeply hydrating. Even though I have a skin type that doesn't easily absorb emulsions, this absorbs instantly, leaving my skin moisturized. It stays hydrated even after I wake up in the morning. I would definitely repurchase. I bought it to use in my nighttime routine. Purchased it on Coupang for 23,790 won. While I appreciate that the spray format doesn't require touching with hands, it's inconvenient that it often drips out like... well, you know. This makes me have to use my hands anyway. Also, it runs out really quickly. Dry skin - mi********Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedJan 29, 2024
It's not even a lifting cream, but it makes my skin feel firm and bouncy My skin is too dry, so it doesn't fully address the dryness
