Pour a small amount into a palette or small dish, then gently swirl your brush in it. The eyeshadow residue will gradually dissolve. You can use the brush after it dries like this, but since it's been in contact with a cleaning solution, it's best to give it a final rinse with water, let it dry for about a day, and then it's ready to use.

At the moment, I can't find any downsides. It's just too good.

I'm very satisfied. Cleaning brushes used to be a major chore I'd tackle only during holidays, but this is so simple and convenient... I wish I'd bought more. Just soaking the brushes in the solution and letting them dry is incredibly easy.

The container lid tends to leak a bit with use... I guess you'll need to wipe it clean after each use.

This is a product I keep repurchasing and using. Even if I try other products, I always come back to this one. It has a mild disinfecting effect and great cleansing effectiveness. You can even use it as part of the 'Back to MAC' recycling program!
