ConsThere are no downsides! I have super sensitive skin that can't even handle foundation brushes on my cheeks, but this cushion doesn't feel suffocating at all and works great for me.
TipsI apply sunscreen first, then use Benefit's pore-minimizing primer on my nose and around my cheeks, and then gently pat on this cushion in a thin layer. If my skin isn't at its best, I'll apply a second thin layer. Whenever I wear this, everyone compliments me on my complexion.

I always apply multiple layers of moisturizer before makeup, but when I'm in a rush and only do a quick moisturizing routine, this creates a lovely semi-matte finish - it's amazing! - I have a warm undertone, and with other products, shade 21 is too light while 23 is slightly darker than my skin. This one, however, gives a slightly brighter, more radiant look than my natural complexion, which I love.
ConsAfter a week of use, I haven't found any downsides yet. For those with extremely dry skin like mine, you might find it ambiguous between semi-matte and dewy. Personally, I actually like this aspect. My skin tends to be dry, and while I enjoy a glowing complexion, sometimes I want a more matte look. However, other semi-matte cushions make my skin look all wrinkled and dehydrated.

common.HWAHAE_TRIAL_REVIEWERS_DESCRIPTIONProsI've tried Merge's matte cushion before, but it was too matte, didn't enhance my skin texture nicely, and didn't hold up well, so I rarely reached for it. The glow cushion, however, isn't overly dewy or extremely glowy, but it has a nice semi-matte finish that gives my complexion a subtle radiance, which I'm really happy with! The staying power is pretty good too. It's a great value product, although I don't use it as much these days because it transfers a bit onto masks. I prefer teardrop-shaped puffs, and Merge's cushion puff is perfect for applying product around the eyes and nose. I even use it with other products! The shade runs slightly light, which is perfect for me since I'm fairer than shade 21. I'm really satisfied with the color match!
ConsWhile it's not super hydrating, it is a glow cushion, so there is some transfer onto masks!

As it's a glow cushion, it wears off beautifully with a dewy finish. • Skin appearance This cushion doesn't scream 'I'm a glow cushion!' Instead, it gives a subtle radiance that enhances your complexion without being over the top. • Packaging As you can see in the photo, the outer case has a mirror finish with 'MERZY' written on it - quite appealing! • Applicator It comes with a teardrop-shaped puff! Perfect for applying around the nose area. However, it seems to absorb quite a bit of product, so you might need to replace it sooner than expected. • Oxidation Personally, I didn't experience any oxidation at all with this product!
Cons• Base makeup The finish seems to vary depending on how you prep your skin! On days when I'm thorough with my skincare routine, it gives that perfect glow cushion look. But when I'm in a rush and skimp on skincare, it can appear slightly semi-matte. So always ensure a good skincare base! • Puff marks If you're not careful with pressure control, it's quite easy to leave puff marks. Always apply gently and evenly! • Longevity Without a setting spray or powder, the staying power seems to diminish quite a bit. • Transfer Similarly, without a setting spray or powder, it transfers quite heavily. The photo shows the transfer on my mask right after application! • Coverage While Merzy is known for good coverage, this glow cushion seems to fall short in that department. It doesn't cover spots, eyeliner marks, or blemishes well. Even after multiple layers, the coverage remains similar, so I had to use it with a concealer.
TipsI highly recommend this routine: First, spray some So Natural fixer on the puff before applying the cushion. Then, after foundation application, spray the fixer directly on your face and pat it in with the puff. Finally, after completing your entire makeup, spray the fixer once more and apply Innisfree No Sebum powder. This method really minimizes transfer onto your mask!
