I'm not applying it separately. It's too much of a hassle to wash it off... There's no reaction on my skin from sunlight while I'm indoors, so I don't really need it. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but my skin feels a bit firmer, like when I had that plump, youthful skin in my early 20s. I can't say my skin tone has become brighter, but it does seem to have a glow to it. The actual skin color and appearance haven't changed much, though. Haha. I'll keep using it and see.

The product I'm using has a white container with a red cap. Around the halfway point of using it, the part connecting the red cap and the white container started to come apart a little. I kept using the cream that came out of that gap, and a few days later, the red cap completely fell off. It seems like I'll need to get a replacement. To save it, I quickly taped the cap back on with scotch tape to keep it closed. And I noticed that if I use this consistently for about a month and then stop, the effects don't seem to last. If I go without sunscreen, the freckles start to reappear. Then when I start using it again, the skin seems to become clear again. The freckles would fade, which I liked, but then they'd start to darken again. Even before starting this cream, I've never had flaky, cotton-like peeling. But now, even before my evening cleanse, I've had to reapply my skin lotion due to dryness. Once I finish this container, I'll switch to the Forte version. I'd like to see the wrinkle improvement effects. 🙌❣ But I'm not sure if I've noticed that yet!!
