I bought this because my acne was getting worse. It seems to control sebum well. After applying it all over, I finish with a zinc cream. It has a silver color, probably due to the silver content! It's not a downside, but I initially mistook it for a face pack. The absorption isn't great, but if you pat it in, it spreads quickly. Although it says to apply locally, I use it all over since my whole face is affected by mask-wearing.
