  Pros

  The color is like mugwort rice cake! It's refreshing, which is great for summer! The cooling effect lasts quite a while, so it feels cool even while applying your skincare routine after cleansing. It's quite useful in summer. However, I'd recommend it more for oily skin than dry skin. It's a bit drying, which is a shame.

  Cons

  The particles are too rough, and it dries too quickly on the face. The texture doesn't absorb well, so it falls off in clumps while applying, leading to wasteful use. Not great value for money, unfortunately.

  Tip

  You should only roll it gently; it's too harsh otherwise. Keeping it in the fridge makes it perfect for hot summer days.

  Pros

  I thought it was just mood therapy, but wow! It really brightens up my complexion. Just be careful not to leave it on too long as it can be slightly drying. I keep it under 10 minutes and it works wonders!

  Cons

  The little particles seem to linger even after washing, so I feel like I need to wipe it off with toner. But then I worry that might cause irritation. If I don't wipe it off though, I can still see some green residue. It's a bit of a dilemma!

  Tip

  On days when I have blemishes, I apply a tea tree or houttuynia cordata base first, then use this mask. It seems to have a soothing effect without drying out my skin! There are lots of seed particles in it, so you can use it for a bit of exfoliation too. When my skin feels congested, I like to gently massage it with some cream for a mini scrub session.

  Pros

  As summer approached and my skin became oilier with enlarged pores, I decided to purchase this. I had received it as a gift before and liked it, so I bought it again. It's just as good as I remembered!

  Cons

  However, when rinsing it off, the bean-like particles tend to get stuck along the hairline, requiring extra time to wash off completely.

  Tip

  I also bought Lush's new face scrub (Happy Skin) along with this, and I think they work really well together!

  Pros

  The packaging is pretty, which makes you feel good just buying it. It's also nice as a gift. The black pots can be exchanged for products if you bring back 5, so that's another plus. It contains exfoliating particles that help remove dead skin cells. However, with so many other great wash-off masks out there, I'm not sure if this one is a must-have. I probably won't repurchase it.

  Cons

  It's quite expensive. The exfoliating particles are large, making it a bit harsh and difficult to spread evenly. The warming sensation feels more irritating than soothing on the skin, leaving it feeling unsettled...

  Storing it in the fridge made it refreshingly cool, and I enjoyed its exfoliating, hydrating, and soothing effects. It really helped remove dead skin cells while providing moisture and calming my skin.

  Cons

  1. The scent is quite strong (similar to a freshly-opened mint chocolate ice cream bar), which might be polarizing for some users. 2.   * Self-preserving, let's call it SP for short * 'The original Mask of Magnaminty, now with increased hydration and reduced irritation!' 🌱 Magnaminty means soothing, naturally! : As expected, it retains the original's strength in calming those surprise blemishes that pop up without warning! Thanks to its cooling effect, it's also perfect for sun-stressed skin in the summer months. ☺️ Gentle yet refreshing : SP has a slightly milder sensation, which is great news for my sensitive skin! It's become my holy grail item. Even after rinsing, my skin feels comfortable and unburdened. 🍯 Higher honey content, double the hydration! : We all know honey is great for the skin, right? This new SP has a much higher honey content, so the post-cleanse dryness is significantly reduced!

  Cons

  'While it's certainly an improvement over the original Mask of Magnaminty, the texture leaves something to be desired' 🥺 Why are the particles so large? : Fresh seeds are great and all, but these particles are almost the size of beans! Some seem only partially ground, making rinsing quite uncomfortable physically. (This seems different from the SP I used in the US?) 🍯 Honey makes it harder to apply : Stickiness aside, applying it was quite a chore. It doesn't spread easily, and it's so thick that controlling the amount is difficult. Whether you're aiming for a thin or thick layer, achieving an even application is no easy task. - As a result, I ended up using it as a scrub. It's just too challenging to use as a mask. 🤑 Expensive pricing (but that's common for Lush Korea) : Lush may be popular and much-discussed, but in Korea, always opt for direct overseas purchase. It's half the price in the UK, US, or Japan!

  Tip

  For the reasons mentioned above, my SP was forced into scrub duty. (But it's surprisingly good at it!) After the mask dries, just add a bit of water to the area and gently roll - it's fantastic! Mask of Magnaminty isn't just for your face - it's great for your body too! It works wonders on problem areas like back acne or body acne, just like it does on your face. Since SP was too thick for me, I mixed it with some toner. Try adjusting the consistency this way - it can help improve the application quite a bit!
