I stumbled upon this product and chose it because the scent was absolutely divine. Recently, even with warmer weather, I've been dealing with dead skin cells on my lips. Despite diligently applying lip balm before bed, some flakiness persisted in the morning. That's why I decided to give this a try. The standout feature is definitely the fragrance! It's truly delightful. Plus, it's a sugar-based scrub, so if a bit accidentally gets in your mouth, you can have some peace of mind about the ingredients. Most importantly, its effectiveness in removing dead skin cells is quite good. After scrubbing, there's a slight moisturizing effect left on the lips, making it an excellent product to use before applying lip makeup. - It may leave some staining in the sink (though it should come off with cleaning). - There's a possibility of some glitter residue around the lips... Make sure to apply the scrub only to your lips! This is because the staining and glitter might end up on your chin area if you're not careful. - su********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 5, 2024
I always buy this product because my lips tend to get flaky when I'm not feeling well! The store employee told me it's even safe if you accidentally ingest some while exfoliating. And the scent is exactly like Nivea's cherry lip balm, which I absolutely love! Most importantly, after using it, my lips become incredibly smooth. This means I can apply matte lipsticks without worrying about flaking or clumping due to dead skin cells. It's fantastic! The downside is that it leaves a stain on both your lips and fingers after exfoliating. While it does wash off after a few rinses, I'd recommend using it the night before if you have an important event coming up. - wh******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsJul 6, 2022
It does remove dead skin cells from the lips, I'll give it that. The Hwahae Testers mentioned it's edible, which I guess is a plus. But honestly, I'm not keen on using it often due to the intense staining. The staining is extreme! After applying, rubbing, and rinsing to exfoliate my lips, the area around my mouth turns completely red. It stains so badly. Sure, it fades over time, but using this after cleansing was disappointing. Also, there's no spoon included, and I felt uneasy scooping it out with wet hands.
