I've been applying this constantly throughout the day. First, I use a soothing gel for hydration, then I generously apply this cream on top like a coating. It definitely keeps my skin moisturized for longer. It's a bit thick, so patting it in while applying enhances its effectiveness.
ConsIt's quite thick, so if you keep reapplying, it can feel a bit heavy on the skin.
TipApply it over a soothing gel before it dries for longer-lasting hydration.

Let me share my detailed experience. I used it for two weeks with my 6-month-old baby. My little one is prone to skin blemishes, so I've always been adamant about using products with gentle ingredients. We frequently use Zero*de and Es*ra products sold at pediatric clinics. Recently, as we started weaning, some blemishes appeared, causing me concern. However, applying the Pyunkang Yul cream seemed to help soothe the skin a bit. (Please refer to the before and after comparison photos) The Pyunkang Yul Ato Cream Blue Label has a slightly thicker consistency compared to the creams mentioned above. As a result, you need to spread and massage it for a while for it to absorb. The after-feel might be a tad heavy for summer, but I'd highly recommend this product for drier seasons! While there wasn't any sticky residue, the cream's characteristic slip lingered for a while. This seemed to contribute to long-lasting hydration. It's not an bothersome oily slip, mind you! Surprisingly, the hydrating effect becomes more noticeable as time passes. You'll truly appreciate this cream's prowess about 5 minutes after application. Given its quality ingredients, it's fragrance-free. I particularly appreciated this aspect, as it's gentle enough for babies. I wish this cream had been available when I was pregnant - I would have used it liberally. I'm planning to gift this to any pregnant friends in the future! Even the packaging looks luxurious and sophisticated, so I can confidently recommend it! The generous amount allows for liberal application without worry, making it suitable for the whole family. I plan to use it consistently and will likely repurchase around late autumn or early winter. It's great for both dry-skinned babies and moms to use together!
ConsI was slightly disappointed that it doesn't absorb immediately and requires quite a bit of massaging. When applying it to my baby, who keeps trying to roll over, I wished it had a formula that absorbed more quickly. However, since it's a cream and not an emulsion, I suppose this is something we have to accept. It might feel a bit heavy when applied in summer - it would be nice if it had a cooling effect. I wonder if it's possible to create a cooling sensation with such high-quality ingredients?
TipFor moms, mixing it with oil before application can extend the moisturizing effect!

I gently apply it to the areas he scratches frequently, like a soothing ointment. It's great that it spreads easily and feels like it's coating the skin, which is perfect for my son who sweats a lot. When I tried it myself, I loved the hydrating sensation that felt like it was enveloping my skin.
ConsAs someone who prefers lighter textures, I'm not the biggest fan of cream formulations. For about 10 minutes after application, it feels a bit heavy on the skin. It gets better after a while, but that initial feeling is there. Though, it might just be because of the hot summer weather!
TipIt's beneficial to reapply frequently on reddened or very dry areas of skin. For all-over application, I'd recommend the emulsion version. The cream is best suited for smaller, targeted areas.

The lid had a foil seal, which was very hygienic. When I first opened it and squeezed out a bit, it had a nice cream consistency. The texture isn't too thick or sticky. There's a slight medicinal scent, but no other fragrances. It feels a bit rich when you apply it, but once it's fully absorbed, there's no stickiness left. My 9-year-old son said, 'Mom, this emulsion is perfect for me! It's not slippery or uncomfortable.' He usually finds other emulsions uncomfortable because they make his clothes stick to him, but he immediately said this was the one he'd been looking for. He's been applying it enthusiastically. The hydration is great, so it should be good for dry skin. For reference, my daughter has atopic dermatitis, so she only uses it on her body. She likes how it moisturizes and keeps her skin hydrated. We avoid using it on her face though, as it causes blemishes.
ConsMy son likes everything about it except for the medicinal scent, which he finds a bit off-putting. This might be a point of contention for some users. When I tried it on my face, it felt like applying ointment. Also, if you have oily skin, it might feel a bit heavy during summer. I'm hesitant to use it on skin with blemishes as it might make the skin look even more shiny.
TipIt's great for applying to dry areas like elbows and knees. It leaves the skin feeling really hydrated!

The ingredients check out, so that's covered. My little one is only 150 days old, so I prefer fragrance-free products, and this one fits the bill perfectly - no worries about using it on the baby. My baby's skin was so dry that we even had issues with keratosis pilaris. I was considering switching skincare products and was torn between this one and another. Initially, I chose the other one since this was unfamiliar. However, I couldn't shake off my curiosity, so I bought the emulsion to try myself. Then I won the cream in a giveaway, allowing me to compare both. As expected, the cream's hydration is far superior to the emulsion. After cleansing, I tried each separately. With the emulsion, I felt the need to apply more products later. It left a thin layer but didn't quite satisfy. The cream, on the other hand, was enough on its own - no dryness at all. Sometimes when I'm too tired for my adult skincare routine, I just use baby cream. With this one, even when I do that, there's no tightness the next morning. It feels a bit heavy at first, but that sensation fades, and it's not sticky at all. I always test baby products on myself first, and after trying this, I'm convinced its hydrating power is perfect for my little one!
ConsWhen first applied, it feels a bit suffocating, like it's creating a film. It's somewhat similar to Neutro*** hand cream (though much less intense). However, this feeling does subside over time. When I had my husband try it, he said it felt greasy. It might not suit those with combination dehydrated skin. The price is a bit steep. It would be great if they had more frequent 'buy one, get one free' promotions!

Let me start with a bit of background, though it's not directly related to this cream. My 10-month-old baby has mild atopic dermatitis on the arms and legs. We've tried Aveeno, Cetaphil, Physiogel, Ato & O2, Mustela, Rooibos, and even steroids. None of the emulsions or creams we settled on provided long-lasting hydration or cleared up the eczema. Around 6 months, it got so bad that there was weeping, so we used the steroid cream from the dermatologist occasionally. (To be honest, I was worried I wouldn't be able to stop due to its dramatic effects.) We've been off it for over a month now. I saw a documentary where a famous doctor said steroid ointments leave the body completely in 3 days, so there's no need to worry, and they don't cause resistance. However, with our baby, we definitely noticed the dramatic effects diminishing the longer we used the steroids. Plus, even the mildest emulsion-type was harsh, and it broke my heart to see the skin peeling off the tips of the toes. Fortunately, after 9 months, the face is always clear, and the arms and legs don't show much of what they call the steroid rebound effect, so we were able to stop naturally. The skin is still rough, but it's quite good with proper moisturizing, so I knew I needed to find a good moisturizer quickly. Now, for the actual Atopy Cream review: I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Hwahae Tester, and this was my first time trying a Pyunkang Yul product. I hadn't seen any ads and didn't know what products they had, but the ingredients looked good, and I was chosen as a tester, so I started using it with an open mind, though honestly, I had zero expectations. But wow! From the first use, the application feel and moisturizing effect felt different. Unlike other creams I've bought that claim to be rich and moisturizing, this one felt like it was full of hydration but wrapped in just the right amount of oil. It didn't feel like excess oil floating on top, but rather it absorbed well while staying moisturizing for a long time without being sticky. I've been using it for about 4-5 days now, and I'm extremely satisfied. I'm planning to stock up from the Pyunkang Yul website for future purchases!
ConsI tried a bit on myself because I felt dry after applying it to the baby, but it felt a bit heavy and greasy. I guess it's because I have combination skin with a slightly oily T-zone. I washed it off shortly after. However, it's perfect for our baby who needs solid hydration! The size is small. The opening is good and the container is sturdy, but it might run out quickly if you apply it generously... I wonder if they might consider releasing a larger size.
TipThey're having a launch promotion sale on the Pyunkang Yul website until the end of October. I'm not sure if it's really only until this month, but it's worth trying while it's on sale! I think it was about 10,000 won each if you buy two. I'm going to stock up right away!
