My child has atopic dermatitis, so we've been using this consistently for about 5 years.
ConsTowards the end, it's hard to pump out the product, so I always have to turn it upside down and use it with the cap open.
TipThe product seems to be effective for sensitive skin conditions like atopic dermatitis. Its good absorption and easy application are praised. However, the packaging design could be improved to allow easier access to the remaining product at the bottom of the container.

The texture is on the thinner side, and the scent is so subtle it's almost unscented. There's just a hint of a pleasant fragrance.
ConsThe downside is that because the texture is quite thin, it feels like it might run out quickly.

It feels like a cross between an emulsion and an essence - moisturizing yet soft and velvety. It's not heavy or suffocating, but spreads thinly and smoothly. Formulation It's reminiscent of something between an emulsion and an essence. While it's an emulsion, it has a slightly runny texture but still feels rich. Scent There's no noticeable fragrance, but it doesn't feel off-putting either. Overall Impression When applied to my child's skin, it absorbs gently. It doesn't feel stuffy or apply too thickly. Although it's an emulsion, I thought it might not be moisturizing enough, so I brought my usual cream. However, the emulsion alone was sufficient. I took comparison photos, but there isn't a significant difference. After applying it to my child, I tried it on my heel to feel the effect myself. Usually, I mix emulsion or cream with petroleum jelly for my heels, but while this felt slightly less intense, it absorbed quickly. My heel felt moisturized and became glossy.
ConsThere isn't really anything bad, but if I had to pick one thing, I wish it had a nice fragrance. My child has a habit of holding their nose while smelling things, but while the moisturizing effect is good, there's no scent to sniff. I prefer a gentle, baby-like fragrance.
TipIf you need more hydration, try mixing it with cream, oil, or petroleum jelly. Everyone's skin is different. For me, it's moisturizing enough without any additions. I have combination skin, and my child has mild atopic dermatitis. The hydrating power is good. On the back of my hand, the left side has cream and the right side has the emulsion. You'll notice the difference in texture.

(It absorbs quickly enough for children to apply themselves.)
Cons✓ There are no significant drawbacks. It's a great product to try if you're looking for a baby emulsion.
TipThe sample size is conveniently portable and can be used as a hand cream substitute. Combining it with the same brand's oil doubles the hydration effect on dry skin, making it a must-have for fall and winter.

Container: It's a 100ml tube that's easy to control the amount and hygienic. The cap isn't a screw-on, but a flip-top, which is convenient and closes securely without gaps (I consider the cap very important to prevent air from spoiling the product). Texture: As shown in the photo, it's a light emulsion texture commonly seen. It spreads smoothly without stickiness. It absorbs immediately when patted in, without sitting on top of the skin. It feels like a very thin layer of hydration (not oily, no pilling). Skin Type & Concerns: While we don't have atopic dermatitis, we have sensitive skin that gets hives from winter winds and becomes very itchy when dry. It gets worse from fall to winter. Because of this, we can't use anything thick or irritating. This is gentle and mild, spreading well without irritation. There was no redness or other signs of irritation. Scent: It's truly unscented. No artificial fragrance and no inherent scent from the ingredients. Overall: They say they've upgraded the ceramide content 3 times compared to the previous product. Having used the previous version, I can compare and say it does help with itchiness, though temporarily. It definitely lasts longer than the previous product.
ConsSince I was already satisfied with this product, I don't have any particular complaints.
TipIt's really great for itchiness caused by simple dryness, not skin conditions. When it felt very dry, I used it with a very light oil. Because it's hydrating but light in texture, rather than mixing it with heavy oils, layering it with lighter oils works better for a nice feel. Highly recommended!

It was great to apply after bath time, and I especially loved that it's fragrance-free. The best part was that even when the kids applied it themselves, the texture was so smooth that it glided on effortlessly. The lightweight formula absorbs well and seems to sink in quickly. Botanicals is consistently one of our go-to products!
ConsDue to its lightweight nature, it might be better to use with a cream when it gets colder and drier!
TipFor children with slightly dry skin, I found that adding a drop of oil while applying helps maintain hydration longer and works wonders!

I love that it's fragrance-free since it's a baby product! Looking at the packaging, I thought it might have a scent, but it just has that typical ceramide cream smell. It doesn't feel heavy or sticky at all, leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth. I applied quite a generous amount, and it absorbed quickly without any pilling or sliding. It spread easily on my baby's skin, even with just a small amount.
ConsThe only downside, which may vary from person to person (it's fine for me!), is that my eldest child dislikes it, saying it smells like medicine. Other than that, I'm satisfied with how it feels and its hydrating power!

The Botanical Therapy Emulsion really stands out with its EWG-verified safe ingredients, free from concerning substances. It's suitable for newborns, which means the whole family can use it with peace of mind, and I absolutely love that. What's especially impressive is how it works on my child's sensitive, easily-dried skin. The emulsion has a gentle, non-irritating application, and it quickly absorbs to provide deep hydration. It's a powerful moisturizer that I'm very satisfied with and continue to use regularly. My child is quite particular about scents and often refuses products with strong fragrances. However, they were pleasantly surprised to find that the Botanical Therapy Emulsion is fragrance-free, and now they're eager to apply it themselves. This is my first time trying this product, and I'm thoroughly impressed. With its safe ingredients that even my child enjoys using, it's a product that I'm extremely satisfied with overall.
ConsAfter using it for about a week, I found the product to be moisturizing and hydrating. Personally, I couldn't really find any drawbacks worth mentioning.

With the changing seasons and colder weather, my skin has been feeling dry, so this came at the perfect time. My youngest has mild atopic dermatitis, causing rough patches on the neck and in skin folds, which often leads to scratching and wounds, especially during seasonal transitions. The cream absorbs instantly, leaving me wondering if it's really a cream, but upon touching my skin, I can feel the deep hydration. I'm consistently applying it to my face and neck, hoping for significant results with continued use.
ConsAs mentioned earlier, the product absorbs so quickly that I worry if it provides enough hydration, but I don't think that's the case. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that I wish it provided even more moisture.
TipWhen my child's skin becomes extremely dry, with intense itching or rough patches, I mix this cream with another and apply it. While frequent application is beneficial, treating severe flare-ups like you would with an ointment can also be effective.

It absorbs quickly and deeply into the skin, leaving it incredibly moisturized. There's no greasy residue or stickiness. It's fragrance-free, which is perfect for my little one who's sensitive to scents (poor thing gets bothered by hotel lobby diffusers and perfumes). Unlike the thick, heavy creams we used before, this Botanical Therapy Baby Emulsion is light enough for frequent application, making it ideal for newborns!
ConsWe did a patch test for the first two days and saw no redness or blemishes, which was great. After using it for over ten days, we noticed the skin became even more hydrated. However, since I applied it every 3-4 hours, I can't really comment on its long-lasting effects.
TipIn this dry weather, even with a humidifier, baby's skin can get parched. I found that applying small amounts frequently, coinciding with feeding times, kept the baby's skin moisturized for 24 hours! I recommend frequent light applications rather than one thick layer. For extra overnight hydration, I mixed it with a moisturizing cream before bedtime after the final bath.
