Since I only apply it to specific areas, I've been using it for a long time, even into summer. While it's more hydrating than the tube type, it doesn't absorb as well. If you want to apply quickly, the tube type might be better. There are hygiene concerns, but that seems unavoidable with this jar-type packaging.
