Personally, I found the Freesia scent much better, but it's a shame it seems to have been discontinued or is no longer available. The Pale Green scent isn't bad either. My husband says he doesn't reach for it because he doesn't like the scent. The fragrance is close to unscented or a subtle tea bag aroma. For those with oily scalps, this is truly a value-for-money shampoo that works hard. Most shampoos either fail to properly cleanse oil or allow it to build up quickly, but this one cleanses thoroughly and keeps oil at bay for longer. I'm not a fan of strong artificial fragrances, so I was pleased with the subtle, natural scent that's quite refreshing. While I'm satisfied with its performance, as someone with extremely oily hair, I wouldn't mind if it had slightly stronger cleansing power.
