As someone with extremely dry skin, I use rich creams and oils even in summer. Applying this balm as the final step in my routine, followed by a layer of oil, prevents my skin from feeling tight the next day. It's perfect for my severely dry skin. The balm has a great texture, absorbs well, and if you warm it up in your palms and press it into your skin, it provides excellent hydration. There are no blemishes or drawbacks to mention. I just hope they don't discontinue this product and keep selling it. When applying makeup, I mix it with oil as the last skincare step, then follow with sunscreen and cushion foundation. This prevents my skin from feeling tight. Just be careful with the amount you use.
