After exfoliating my lips, even when I apply lipstick, they quickly become dry and the dead skin cells become more noticeable, so I can't wear matte lip products. However, this product applies moisturizing and absorbs quickly, adhering to my lips as if it were my natural lip color. What I like most is that it doesn't emphasize any flakiness. It's great to use as a base lip product. Since it's a velvet lip product and absorbs quickly, it does leave some staining. If you don't apply it evenly all over your lips, the staining can be quite noticeable.
