I bought this product because I didn't want to use a separate cleanser when washing my baby's face, and I'm really satisfied with it. When I apply it to my baby, I use it too, and I can feel how mild it is. It's moisturizing and absorbs well.
ConsWell... I guess the only downside is that it comes off when the baby drools or sweats. But I knew this when I bought the product, so I don't have any particular complaints.
TipWhile it can be removed with just water, make sure to rinse your baby's face thoroughly during bath time. After all, our baby's skin is precious and deserves extra care.

It's gentle enough that even a child can apply it on their own when you squeeze some out for them. And since it washes off easily with just water, there's no worry when it's time to clean up.
ConsI'm a bit concerned that it might come off with sweat since it's water-soluble. So I only apply it for indoor activities and reapply it periodically.

That alone easily scores it 95 points. (My skin became super sensitive around my nose area, probably due to long-term mask-wearing during the pandemic. It's even more sensitive than my child's skin, getting irritated and red with the slightest hint of strong ingredients.) The emulsion-like thin texture applies smoothly. Unlike other matte sunscreens, it doesn't leave a white cast or feel dry after application. It feels moisturizing, which I love - not powdery, but not greasy either, just nicely hydrated. I usually avoid products with artificial fragrances for my child, preferring unscented ones. Sometimes unscented products have a slight medicinal smell, but this one doesn't, which is great.
ConsI don't really find this a downside, but if I had to mention something... The SPF is 32, which is a bit low. (Though that probably means it's gentler and less harsh.) It washes off easily with water, so I'll need to use a different product for water activities. (But then again, being easily removable with water is actually one of this product's strengths...)
TipWhen I tested it on the back of my hand, it seems it doesn't completely wash off with lukewarm water.

I've tried the compact, emulsion, and stick types from this line, but this is my first time using the milk type. It's difficult to get kids to use foam cleansers, and they're not great for their skin either. That's why I love that this product can be removed with just water! The milk texture applies smoothly and evenly - just a quick rub and you're done. (When sunscreen is thick, it's a struggle to spread it, which kids hate and makes life harder for moms too.) With good ingredients and a subtle fragrance, it seems suitable for everyday use. There's minimal white cast as well.
ConsThe fact that it washes off with water is both a pro and a con. Once you start sweating, it becomes a bit unmanageable. Still, the benefits outweigh this drawback, so I'm satisfied! One downside is that you can't see how much product is left in the bottle.

Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it's not thick and applies smoothly, making it easy even for kids to use on their own. It's fragrance-free, and I heard it washes off easily without double cleansing - true enough, it comes off cleanly with just soap and water. I even checked with cleansing water afterwards and it was completely clean. The smooth application that makes it easy for children to apply independently is a big plus.
ConsWhile it's easy to wash off with water, which is an advantage, there's a risk it might come off during water activities or in sweaty summer conditions. It might be helpful to reapply it several times.
TipWhile sunscreen is recommended for babies over 6 months, it's great that on really hot days or during travels, we don't have to worry about double cleansing! A pro tip is to wash the face thoroughly with a good cleansing soap. Although double cleansing isn't necessary, any residue could potentially irritate the skin, so it's better to be safe!

Absorbs well: It applies smoothly and absorbs quickly, which is great! 2. Scent: I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, and there's a slight medicinal smell. It's not noticeable unless you're really paying attention. 3. Stickiness: I really dislike sticky products, and this one does feel a bit tacky at first. However, if you pat it in, it seems to absorb better! (It feels moisturizing, which might contribute to the initial stickiness, but that's good for hydration.) When you touch it lightly, it feels smooth, which I liked. 4. Since it's for kids, I was hesitant to apply sunscreens that don't wash off easily. But this one has good ingredients and rinses off easily with water, so I'll probably buy it again when we run out.
ConsThe container isn't transparent, so it might be hard to tell when you're running low. Since it washes off easily with water, you'll need to reapply more often. It might be a bit challenging for kids to carry around and reapply themselves. It would be great if they came out with a compact version!
TipIt might be a good idea to buy an empty compact container and transfer the product into it for easier use!

However, it's often challenging to choose the right one, especially since kids dislike applying it and find cleansing bothersome. For both children and myself, I always prefer physical sunscreens for their gentle ingredients and minimal irritation. This product's mildness goes without saying, but let me highlight its key advantages: First, despite being a physical sunscreen, it has an incredibly smooth and hydrating application. Unlike the typical thick physical sunscreens that are difficult to apply thoroughly, this emulsion-type formula spreads easily and moisturizes well. It's perfect for covering large areas, from face to body. Second, there's no white cast, so it doesn't leave a visible residue. It's surprising for a physical sunscreen, as they usually leave a noticeable white layer. This one combines the benefits of physical protection with the invisible finish of chemical sunscreens. Third, and this could be seen as both a pro and a con, it's easy to cleanse. It washes off effortlessly with water, which is a relief when removing sunscreen from children - often more tedious than cleansing my own face. Physical sunscreens typically require meticulous cleansing, but this one seems to leave less residue and comes off more easily.
ConsAs mentioned earlier, the easy removal with water is both an advantage and a drawback. Especially in summer, when we sweat more than in spring, it might wash off easily with perspiration. This means you'll likely need to reapply frequently depending on your skin condition and how long it's been since the initial application. Additionally, the SPF isn't very high, so frequent reapplication will be necessary to maintain effective sun protection.
TipPhysical sunscreens often have a white cast and a thick, heavy texture. Instead of applying a small amount in long strokes, try patting it on in small doses. This method speeds up absorption. Layering small amounts multiple times can minimize the white cast and achieve better application.

Since it's difficult for young children to do a double cleanse like adults, we opt for a washable sunscreen that's easy to remove. The Botanical Therapy Sun Milk appears to wash off cleanly even with just a gentle soap cleanse. In the past, when sunscreen wasn't removed properly, I'd get small bumps on my face, but I've been using this without any blemishes or skin issues.
ConsWhile it's a washable sunscreen that rinses off easily with water, it also means it comes off readily with sweat. As we're entering a season with more outdoor activities, you'll need to wipe off the sunscreen that's been removed by sweat and reapply. Also, this might just be a personal preference, but I find fragrance important, and I'm not particularly fond of this sunscreen's scent.

It applies smoothly and moisturizes well, making it easy to quickly apply to a wiggly baby.
ConsIt was disappointing that even after applying it diligently, it would wash off in water. For water activities, it seems a waterproof product would be necessary. I was also unsatisfied with the scent. I wish it had no fragrance at all or a more pleasant one. The current scent is difficult to get used to.

It absorbs so well that I even apply it before makeup. It's perfect for daily use on sensitive skin. I love that it doesn't feel heavy at all.
ConsHowever, I'm not sure if it can be removed with water alone. When I tried using just water, there was a bit of an odd feeling left on my skin?!
TipIt's even more affordable when you catch the occasional hot deal with a buy-one-get-one-free offer. I think it was around twenty thousand won.
