The scent is herbal, like the 'Yakmocho' name suggests - it's more healing than bothersome, so I enjoy applying it every time! The absorption is really poor. You absolutely can't apply this directly to your face. You need to squeeze it onto your hands, warm it up by rubbing, then pat it onto your skin. If you apply it directly, it'll make all your previous skincare pill up. However, I noticed it spreads more smoothly when the weather gets warmer. The texture seems quite affected by temperature. I have dry skin and usually break out with oily products. This one started to cause some blemishes, so I stopped using it on my face. Now I'm using it on my body and hands instead.
