Using makeup remover cotton pads is really nice.

The alcohol scent is really strong, but I can't really find any other downsides to this.

Certainly, there is less ingrown hair and less buildup of dead skin cells, with a different feeling than just using a scrub - it just seems to disappear.
I already had a headache, but aside from one or two ingrown hairs, there were none. Compared to just using a scrub and moisturizer, it seems to have reduced by about 1/5.
