  The texture is like an ointment, which might be hit or miss for some. The pump-type packaging makes it convenient to use.

  Cons

  After using it for two consecutive days, my skin reacted badly. I'm surprised because my skin isn't new to retinol and has been fine with daily use of 0.2% concentrations before. Even though I've used these ingredients before, and two days in a row shouldn't be an issue, I'm hesitant to use it again.

  Pros

  My skin type is sensitive + combination + acne-prone. I bought this after seeing Director Pi's recommendation that By Wishtrend's Retinol was good. However, if you have sensitive skin, please do a patch test before applying it fully. I didn't really feel like my skin texture improved or my pores got better.

  Cons

  Because I have sensitive skin, it made my face red and irritated after applying. For retinol beginners, it's better to start with a lower concentration, and make sure to do a patch test before using it.

  Tip

  You must only apply retinol at night! When you wake up in the morning, it's essential to wash your face and apply sunscreen thoroughly.

  The color is such a lovely yellow! It's quite rich in texture, but absorbs well and the absorption rate isn't bad at all.

  Cons

  Unfortunately, it seems to have been too harsh for my sensitive skin. I ended up with some blemishes.

  Cons

  Those with super sensitive skin might want to avoid this. While I don't have particularly sensitive skin, I do have redness-prone skin, and I was surprised by how it intensified my redness with a burning sensation.

  Pros

  None. I initially used about half of the sample. It seemed fine, so a few days later I used a full sample sheet. That's when all hell broke loose.

  Cons

  Blemishes. It stings and hurts... My face became red and swollen... The evening after application, my face started to hurt. While sleeping, I could feel tiny blisters forming and popping on my skin. I had a hunch it was due to this Bakuchiol cream. By morning, my face looked like a fan lady's. My eyes were extremely puffy, and the doctor suggested getting an injection. I'm now getting shots, taking medication, and applying Lidomax. Good grief... I never thought a cosmetic reaction could be this severe. I have to go back for another check-up tomorrow. While it's true that cosmetic side effects can be hit or miss, it seems there are certain ingredients that require extra caution. This Vitamin A derivative appears to be one of them. When I used half the sample sheet, there weren't any major issues. But when I applied the full amount, I experienced extreme blemishes. I'll likely avoid trying new products in the future.

  It's plump and moisturizing, with a subtle glow. If it weren't for the irritation, I'd love to use it more consistently.

  I thought one pump might not be enough, but it was just right. The next morning when I washed my face, it felt so smooth, which was great. After using it for a few days, I noticed my complexion seemed a bit brighter, so I was quite pleased.
