  Is this really good? That's surprising... Skin type: Combination (T-zone combination oily/dehydrated, U-zone combination dry/dehydrated with blemishes, acne, redness, and visible pores) I think I've used about 6 different creams so far. This was my first cream and soothing cream... I'm not currently using it! But the memory is quite vivid, so it still sticks with me. Personally, I feel this product can be hit or miss depending on the situation. And it seems to vary greatly from person to person. Looking at reviews, those who like it highly recommend it, while those who don't tell everyone to avoid it. Of course, all products have their fans and critics, but with skincare, you have to be extra careful since using the wrong product can really damage your skin. When I first used it, I loved the cool, refreshing feeling - that cooling effect you'd expect from a soothing cream! I've always been a big fan of aloe-based soothing products, so this gel-cream hybrid felt different from other creams I'd used before. It was great for summer or when my skin felt hot and irritated.

  But if your skin barrier is compromised? Or if you have sensitive skin? Absolutely avoid it. This product completely wrecked my skin barrier (T-T) Everything I applied after stung, and I can't tell you how much I suffered. In the past, just changing my skincare would destroy my skin barrier. It's a soothing cream that provides hydration, but doesn't calm the skin at all. If anything, it felt like it was making my skin worse... This had to be the culprit for my damaged skin barrier... I remember it being a truly awful experience. If you have sensitive skin, stay away... But I'd recommend it for oily or dry skin types that need hydration! If you're lacking moisture, this alone won't be enough to address both hydration and moisturization. As someone with dehydrated skin, I didn't see much benefit from it.
