The watery, thin texture absorbs quickly into the skin with minimal stickiness, leaving a refreshing feel which I really liked. Being colorless and odorless, it's reassuring that it can be used without irritation even on sensitive or blemish-prone skin. I use it for night care in spring and summer, and I'll explain why in the drawbacks section. If you apply too much of this product, it tends to pill. It feels like crystals are forming... If you don't wipe the opening, crystals form there too. On the skin, if you apply too much, it suddenly starts to pill and turn white! So you can't be greedy with application, and it's absolutely not suitable before makeup. That's why I only apply it in the evening. Overall, while it's a mild and gentle product, I can't really feel any brightening effects on my complexion. I probably won't repurchase it. - ho*********Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 20, 2025
The texture is almost water-like, so it absorbs really well. While I haven't noticed any dramatic effects yet, it seems pretty good overall. One downside is that a white powder tends to form around the bottle opening with continued use. - je************Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 19, 2025
My skin type: > Generally dry, with many dark spots and blemishes, no acne issues, concerned about wrinkles Overall impression: - I've been worried about my dark spots and blemishes getting bigger. I've been using products with high concentrations of niacinamide, which is said to be good for brightening. My complexion has definitely become clearer. ✅ Texture - Transparent liquid in a pump bottle ✅ Scent - Almost fragrance-free ✅ Hydration - I use it instead of toner, but it absorbs quickly ✅ Rich feel - None at all ✅ Key ingredients - Niacinamide, Hyaluronic acid ✅ Blemishes - None It definitely works. However, I'm not sure if I've developed a tolerance after using it for months or if I'm just used to my brighter complexion, but lately I feel like the brightening effect is less noticeable. I'm debating whether to alternate with another product or continue using this one. But one thing's for sure - it definitely works. - kl******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 14, 2025
While niacinamide can sometimes cause dryness and blemishes if used incorrectly, this product is perfectly balanced with hyaluronic acid. I've been using it without any issues. It's great to apply after toner, followed by your preferred serums, ampoules, or creams to suit your skin's hydration needs. Despite containing hyaluronic acid, as someone with dry skin, I didn't find it particularly moisturizing. Remember, hyaluronic acid works best when layered with other hydrating products, so be sure to follow up with ampoules and creams for optimal results. I use two pumps, applying generously up to my neck. Then, I layer on hydrating products like a moisture ampoule, hydrating serum, and moisturizing cream. To seal it all in and prevent moisture loss, I finish with a few drops of jojoba oil to create a protective barrier. - gu********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 12, 2025
It's gentle and quite moisturizing. A solid choice for your basic skincare routine. Not sure if it's due to the niacinamide, but after use, a powder-like residue hardens around the container's opening! - ax********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 27, 2025
I bought this product because it combines the hyaluronic acid and niacinamide ampoules I was already using from this brand. It's not bad, but depending on my skin condition, I found using the ingredients separately works better for me. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars. While it's convenient, I prefer the flexibility of applying each ingredient individually for optimal results. - cc*****Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 9, 2025
I like that it has a relatively high concentration of niacinamide. It's fragrance-free and doesn't seem to conflict with other ingredients, so it's easy to incorporate into my routine. Great value for money too - you get a lot of product! Oh, and it seems to help control excess oil production. I've been using this from winter until today, and I find that one application doesn't provide enough hydration, but two applications can sometimes feel a bit irritating when my skin isn't at its best. Niacinamide itself isn't particularly moisturizing, so I assume they've combined it with hyaluronic acid, but even then, it falls short in terms of hydration. I applied it after toner and before my main skincare routine, but I found I needed to layer another hydrating or nourishing product before my cream. Also, over the few months I've been using this, despite daily sunscreen use, I've noticed a significant increase in freckles on my face... While it's probably not directly caused by this product, I wonder if the niacinamide failed to prevent melanin production in my skin. For my next brightening product, I think I'll stick to vitamin C as I've used before. Recommended for oily skin types. - li****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 3, 2025
The effectiveness is undeniable. After applying, acne breakouts decreased and it's great for fading blemish marks. However, the redness side effect was quite intense, so I used it on my body instead. It works wonders for body hyperpigmentation! Yikes, this made my skin turn super red! It took days to calm down the redness. There's a reason why cosmetics companies rarely use 20% concentration - I definitely felt it. It's not for everyone, that's for sure. Seems to work best for those with resilient skin. Try applying it to your body and layer an emulsion on top to lock in the hydration. - ar**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 18, 2025
For combination skin with dryness around the mouth area. I started using this due to extreme dryness. No blemishes appeared. The scent is moderate, sometimes reminiscent of antiseptic. When my skin condition is poor, it can feel a bit tingly. The hydration lasts for an average duration. Applying it between other skincare steps helps maintain some moisture. The downside is that you need to apply it multiple times. The scent is quite strong (why does it smell like antiseptic?). While it's supposed to be a hydrating serum, the moisturizing effect seems weak. You need to keep applying it between skincare steps and pat it in for better absorption. - zp**Combination SkinAcne SkinFeb 13, 2025
Its water-like consistency makes it easy to use. Just squeeze a bit onto your palm and apply. Due to its watery texture and high concentration, it tends to leak around the opening, leaving a white powdery residue. This not only looks unappealing but also gives a messy impression.
