It feels like a lip balm, but with more pigment. It's moisturizing, doesn't pill, and has no scent.
ConsEverything's great about it except that it wears off easily due to its balm-like texture. I plan to repurchase! Just don't expect it to have the color payoff of a tint.
TipFor a pretty look, apply one layer all over your lips, then add an extra layer just to the inner part.

It doesn't seem to have much staying power... Just average, I'd say.
ConsIt's expensive, but doesn't provide much hydration in comparison. Feels more like a decorative lip balm... I wish it was a bit more moisturizing.

Hydration I tend to get a lot of dead skin cells on my lips and often pick at them, so I always look for products with good moisturizing properties. The Chanel Rouge Coco Balm really keeps my lips hydrated for a long time. If I accidentally ingest some, it doesn't have that artificial cosmetic taste, which is great! When I apply it after picking at my lips, they become moisturized and I no longer feel like they're cracking. 2. Color payoff For most balm products, I don't expect much color payoff except for red shades, but this product has great color payoff despite being a coral shade! I usually apply foundation over my lip line before applying lip products, and the color payoff looks natural yet brightening, like my own lips but better. The moisturizing glow is an added bonus, making this one of the few lip balms I've used up completely.
ConsIf you apply it when you have dead skin cells on your lips, you can immediately see it flaking, so make sure to exfoliate your lips before application!

It's great that there's almost no staining, which is a definite plus.
ConsHowever, compared to other lip balms, it doesn't last as long. I found myself reapplying often, and ironically, it seemed to make my lips feel drier with frequent use.

It's great to use before makeup or to add a moisturizing touch after applying makeup.
ConsThe price point is absolutely wicked. A single lip balm costs around $50, which is outrageous.

It glides on smoothly and feels comfortable on the lips. It doesn't accentuate dead skin cells much, making it suitable as a base lip product.
ConsAs a lip balm, it lacks in hydration and the staying power is somewhat disappointing.
TipA great combination is to apply Rouge Coco Balm as a base, then layer a lip product with good color payoff on top. I frequently use the combination of Rouge Coco Balm (Flirty Coral) + YSL Velvet Tint (216 Nude Emblem).

Cons❌ Lacks hydration, severely emphasizes dead skin cells, settles into fine lines Honestly... since I had such a good experience with the Dior lip balm, I had high hopes for this product too. Since it's called a Chanel 'lip balm', I naturally expected it to be moisturizing, but when I applied it to my dry lips, I felt no hydration at all - it was like putting on a regular lipstick. Even if I apply it in the morning with no dead skin cells on my lips, within an hour, flakes start appearing. When I realized this wasn't working, I tried applying it over my usual lip balm. While my lips felt moisturized, there were still visible flakes, and over time, it severely settled into lip lines. ❌ Pink staining The initial color is different from what remains after some time. At first, it's a pretty coral, but as time passes, it turns into an unattractive pink shade. ❌ Price While the luxury premium is unavoidable, the performance was so disappointing that... I'd rather buy 10 Nivea lip balms instead. For those with dry lips like me who always carry a lip balm... I strongly discourage this product. Even when used with my regular lip balm, it still causes flaking. It's such a shame that I can't use it after spending so much money on it.

ConsIt's closer to a lipstick than a lip balm, so if you have severe dead skin cells or dryness, using this alone might be slightly insufficient.

It also seems to apply smoothly!
ConsThe packaging feels a bit plain, which is a shame.

It's perfect for touch-ups on the go. The color is a coral with a slight neon twist, which looks fantastic on warm-toned individuals with lighter complexions - it really makes them glow!
ConsI received this as a gift and was initially worried it might be too pale, but it applies sheerly like a tint balm, making it perfect for a natural look. The only downside is the longevity - frequent reapplication is the key to maintaining the color.
