• Scent The fragrance was to my liking! It's neither too strong nor too weak. It's not subtle, but it dissipates quickly, so even those sensitive to scents might be able to use it. • Hold I didn't use it alone (personally, I find it difficult to use non-mascara types by themselves), but I used it with a mascara-type hair fixer from another brand. It wasn't bad - if you don't touch it, it lasts quite a while. Pros
The newly reformulated version has an absolutely incredible scent! It's so good that I just want to keep spraying it over and over. First off, I used to use the pre-reformulation fixer to add volume to my roots along the part line. With this new version, not only has the fragrance become much more luxurious, but I also feel like the spray dispersion has improved significantly! I initially tried the Jenny House Root Volume Fixer because daily blow-drying for volume was too harsh on my hair, and I thought a fixer might help. Now that I've gotten the hang of it, using the fixer gives better hold, is more convenient, and doesn't damage my hair as much - I'm so satisfied with it! For anyone who blow-dries for volume daily and cares about natural-looking volume and hair health, I highly recommend trying this product! I plan to use it to maintain my root volume for life! The scent is intense and long-lasting. Personally, I loved the fragrance - it really suits my taste. Most importantly, it doesn't make my hair greasy! While I don't use a lot, most products I've tried before tend to make my hair look oily after a while. This one doesn't do that at all!

I'm not sure if this is a renewed version of the previous Root Volume Fixer, but I got to try it as a Hwahae product! Honestly, I had zero expectations since I was completely unsatisfied with the previous version. But this product actually holds the style well!! It's definitely better than the last version - it doesn't make my hair greasy and keeps the style in place! One thing that bothered me about the previous version was the scent. It's not that it smelled bad, but the intense rose fragrance lingered for too long. Every time I turned my head, I could smell it, and since that product didn't even hold my style, I couldn't understand why I was using it. However, this product has a comfortable scent that's only noticeable when you spray it, and afterwards it's barely there! The spray power was good in the previous product too, so of course it's great in this one as well. I think I'll be sticking with this product from now on!
Cons
It doesn't hold perfectly on rainy or humid days. When your style starts to fall, if you curl it with a hair roller, it does maintain some volume with a shorter curl time compared to not using the product at all. But on rainy and humid days, even this product can't prevent your style from falling. I'm not sure if this can be considered a downside though... I think there's no product that can provide absolute hold!
Tip
After curling your hair with rollers, spray the product from different angles about twice, then use hot air from a hair dryer for 15 seconds. Leave it like that while you do your makeup. When you're done with makeup, remove the rollers, brush your hair once, then shape your bangs with a flat iron and curl with rollers again. About 5 minutes before you leave, take out the rollers, brush to style, and it should last almost all day! As long as it's not a rainy or humid day, that is!
