It applies smoothly and offers above-average curling power. ConsWhen you think of mascara, Maybelline comes to mind, but this feels like a significant downgrade from their classic yellow New York mascara. The sharp, gasoline-like scent is irritating (though it dissipates after application). Surprisingly, even without applying it to my lower lashes, I noticed subtle smudging about 4 hours after application, suggesting poor staying power. Oddly enough, despite the smudging, the curling effect isn't bad, which is puzzling.
