Stearic acid (palmitic line) and shea butter don't agree with my skin. My skin lacks hydration and due to an imbalanced oil-moisture ratio, I often get small bumps. Most creams contain stearic acid, and either have too much oil or are too light, so I hadn't found a cream that worked for me. I discovered this product by chance, and it's become my holy grail emulsion (which acts like a cream for me)! It made me realize my skin could be this smooth and free of bumps. The oil-moisture balance is perfect, so there's no tightness, my skin feels plump, the bumps are gone leaving my skin clear, and it's so hydrating that my pores even appear slightly smaller. I'm extremely satisfied! It's such a holy grail product that I'd protest if it were discontinued!
ConsAfter multiple tests, I don't recommend this for use before makeup. This emulsion leaves a silky finish - it feels smooth to the touch. As a result (it feels like there's a film), when you apply base makeup over it, it doesn't adhere well and can pill or slide around (especially with matte or semi-matte formulas, or foundations with powder particles that don't need a finishing powder). No matter how thinly I apply it or how well I prep the previous steps, the issue persists to varying degrees. It can pill, slightly separate, or even cause slight texture issues (I think the texture issues might be due to layering too much emulsion and base makeup). So, I've stopped using it before applying makeup.
TipFor those with neck wrinkles, it's great to apply this to the neck as well! I have neck wrinkles and usually apply functional products for wrinkles, but with this emulsion, I can layer it over the functional essence like a coating. It finishes silky without any stickiness, making it comfortable even when wearing clothes or accessories on the neck.

Now I only apply Cellbrick morning and night, and my smooth skin has returned. It's absolutely fantastic!
ConsThe texture is unusual. It feels like it sits on top of the skin when applied? But I've gotten used to it over time, so it's okay now.
