- I prioritize checking for potential blemishes due to acne, whiteheads, folliculitis, and contact dermatitis. - My skin is combination dehydrated with deep dryness and excess oil. This product gives my skin a beautiful ivory tone without any grayish cast, which often happens with lighter shades on my face. The LN2 color is slightly brighter than the typical #21, but it doesn't make my face look overly pale (I personally don't prefer an overly bright base, but this one gives a natural brightening effect). It has a slight darkening effect over time, making it look more natural, but it doesn't make your complexion dull or dark. Even without concealer, it covers redness well and evens out uneven skin tone nicely. Admittedly, it wasn't an easy choice for someone with severe texture, flaky dead skin cells, and combination dehydrated skin. The built-in puff, which feels soft like a powder puff, can emphasize peach fuzz and flaky skin when applied with a pressing motion. It takes some practice to master the application technique. Areas with texture like under-eyes and around the nose tend to cake up and separate easily. Layering can make it feel heavy, so using a spatula to apply a thin, even layer all at once gives the prettiest finish without emphasizing dead skin cells. On dry areas with excess oil like the T-zone, it can separate and break down. However, once you touch up, it lasts quite well, and areas with less flaky skin hold up decently. Interestingly, it tends to break down quickly right after initial application in the morning. I've found that wiping it off lightly and reapplying gives a prettier finish. So I intentionally apply it, wipe it off, and reapply before heading out. As someone with very oily skin who usually needs to touch up every hour or two with other cushions, with this method and just a few powder touch-ups, I can go 7 hours with only one touch-up. - It's challenging to achieve a smooth finish for those with a lot of peach fuzz and dead skin cells. Rushing the application can lead to patchiness and separation. - Despite cleaning the puff with a face towel daily, it gets clogged with oil and makeup residue in 2-3 days, causing a patchy application. Surprisingly, it doesn't deform after washing! - It tends to settle into smile lines a bit. You need to check and touch up frequently, but the built-in puff is great for fixing these areas without causing the product to pill. For those with oily skin like mine, be prepared to see white residue in your pores or blackheads peeking through the base. * While I didn't experience any skin irritation or major breakouts, I often noticed small bumps on my butterfly zone and forehead about 10 hours after application, around cleansing time. (+After two weeks of daily use, the texture and bumps worsened, so I decided to discontinue use.) The noir case is absolutely gorgeous - ji****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 22, 2024
This is my holy grail cushion! I've tried luxury cushions from Dior, YSL, Chanel, and others, but I've settled on the Valentino Go-Cushion! It adheres evenly without any patchiness. My skin tends to get patchy with cushions like Hera or Chanel when it's even slightly dry, but this Go-Cushion stays put all day long! Even after hours, there's no caking or lifting, so apart from areas where it might have faded a bit, I don't even need to touch up. It doesn't clog pores. It feels like it's filling in each pore individually, making your skin look naturally flawless. Similar to its non-patchy advantage, it doesn't accentuate pores in areas where you have many, which is great because it doesn't make them look more noticeable. There's a general feeling that cushions are getting smaller and smaller... The opening where you press the cushion is too small, causing product to get on the plastic sides. And why is the puff so tiny and precious? At this price point, they should include an extra puff!!! I used to do my base makeup with foundation and only use cushion for touch-ups, but since switching to the Go-Cushion, I can apply it right after my base without it fading away! - as*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 10, 2023
It applies thinly and evenly, providing good coverage even with a small amount. The puff feels like a powder puff, which might be hit or miss for some. The makeup tends to separate on the skin. - 2p******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedMay 25, 2022
It's not drying at all and gives a nice glow. I really liked that it doesn't cause deep dryness. The ingredients seem fine, so I haven't experienced any blemishes. I bought this instead of LIGR2 because it was said to be brighter, and it is indeed on the lighter side. The case is chubby and the red color matches well with the logo, making it look pretty. It doesn't adhere well to the skin and tends to apply thickly. Over time, it can look patchy or break down messily. It seems you need to apply it thinly in small amounts and really work it into the skin for better results. For me, the most important factors are whether it causes blemishes and the ingredients, so this is a decent product in that regard. However, I don't think the satisfaction level will be high considering its price.
