My skin turns red and flaky with even the slightest lack of hydration, and if it's too oily, I break out in nodular acne. It's quite finicky - even though it's my own skin, finding the right skincare basics is exhausting! 1. It's not sticky I really prioritize how a product feels, and I hate when things are sticky because it feels like it attracts dust and gets dirty. This absorbs well without being sticky. 2. It's moisturizing If you layer this on multiple times, it's so hydrating that even oily skin types might not need an emulsion afterwards.
ConsAs moisturizing as it is, you can feel the richness. The texture is hard to pin down - it's somewhere between an oil and a water. I'd recommend this to those who prefer deeply hydrating products over lightweight ones.

I have sensitive, allergy-prone, dry skin! Until now, I've only used watery toners, so this is my first time trying a toner with a runny serum-like texture. ✦ Texture: A thin, runny consistency that feels like a mix between a toner and an essence. If other toners are like nasal mucus, this one's more like watery mucus... ✦ Ingredients: Gentle. ✦ Application: On the moisturizing and bouncy side. It absorbs fairly quickly without pilling. An oily film forms afterwards, helping to retain moisture. ✦ You can see the contents clearly. ✦ Eco-friendly packaging. Everything is made of paper, and the container is glass, so it feels less burdensome to recycle. ✦ Feels like a face mask: After use, I could feel the abundant hydration and richness, similar to after using a sheet mask. My skin texture became smoother, like the day after a face mask. ✦ Easy to apply: The recommended application is with hands, so not needing to use cotton pads was convenient. Moreover, this seems to create a synergy effect with the texture. Overall, the moisturizing and bouncy texture makes it seem great for those with dry skin.
Cons✦ Slightly sticky: It's not exactly sticky, but when you press your hands after applying, there's a hint of tackiness. Even this minimal stickiness was unpleasant for me, as I really dislike any stickiness. It's very subtle though. ✦ Peculiar oiliness: Perhaps due to glycerin being high up in the ingredient list, it feels quite... slick, like there's a film on the skin. There's also a strange shininess, which gets toned down with sunscreen. Without makeup, it gives a slight semi-dewy look. ✦ Heavy container: It's glass. I wonder why they made such a heavy container for a product that needs to be poured out... The combination of paper packaging and glass container was a bit scary too. ✦ Doesn't address deep dryness: Even after layering it multiple times, it didn't help with the dryness deep in my skin. ✦ Makes skincare feel heavy: Since it provides oiliness from the start... = the subsequent hydrating products don't seem to penetrate the skin properly. I prefer lightweight skincare, so I replaced my jojoba oil with just this toner, but it doesn't address my deep dryness and the emulsion feels like it's just sitting on top (though it does absorb well). It doesn't seem appealing enough to replace my current products...

Here's my honest review after using it for the full duration: 1. Texture It's not a watery formula, but more of a thick, non-runny consistency - like a viscous nasal discharge. This contributes to its excellent hydration, making it perfect for busy mornings before school. I could just slather this on quickly without needing anything else. 2. Product Effects The ingredients are free from allergens and it's a '7-free' formula, so I felt safe using it. As it's an ampoule treatment, I looked for other benefits, but apart from its powerful hydration, I didn't notice any significant changes. This product seems ideal for those with dry or combination dehydrated skin.
Cons1. Packaging It was frustrating that the product didn't come out easily from the opening. This made me less inclined to use it regularly. I think switching to an ampoule container with a dropper would make it much more user-friendly. 2. Skin Type/Seasonal Preferences While those with dry or combination skin might love this as a skin pack, it feels quite rich, so those with oily skin might find it just average (as I did). Moreover, being summer, I probably won't reach for it until fall or winter. I'll try it as a skin pack in winter and update if I like it more then!
TipRather than just applying it quickly, I'd recommend using it as a skin pack for better results.

It's fluid enough but doesn't drip excessively, with just the right consistency. You can use it as an essence or pat it on like a toner, and it even works well when applied with a cotton pad! 1. Incredibly hydrating. The moment you apply it, your skin instantly becomes super moist. It does take a tiny bit of time to absorb. If you keep patting it in patiently, you'll find your skin becomes nicely hydrated. 2. Less dryness. I usually take my time with skincare while watching YouTube videos, so there can be gaps between steps. Even with a bit of a wait after applying this, I didn't experience any mid-routine dryness or deep dryness after finishing my skincare routine.
Cons1. Absorption is a tad slow. Due to its texture, it takes a bit longer to sink in compared to regular watery toners. 2. It might make your skin look a bit too dewy. After using this, choose products with lighter textures for the next steps. Otherwise, it could lead to pilling, and during the day, it might slightly reduce the longevity of your makeup. Make sure to control the amount you use and carefully match it with your other skincare products!
TipHighly recommended for dry skin! For those with blemishes, I suggest using it alongside soothing ingredients like tea tree or houttuynia cordata.

It felt more like a rich essence with a focus on oil and moisture balance rather than soothing. When I first applied it, I noticed it felt heavier on the skin than expected, but the oil and moisture balance seemed just right. Personally, I think it might be more suitable for dry skin rather than oily skin. There wasn't a distinct fragrance, but I detected a somewhat stale and dull scent, which wasn't particularly pleasant. Usually, I encounter herbal or natural scents, so this was surprisingly different. After cleansing, I like to swipe with a cotton pad and then apply it like an essence. The absorption isn't particularly quick. On a positive note, I appreciated that it comes in a glass container rather than plastic.
ConsGiven it's summer, I found the slow absorption a bit inconvenient. Those with oily skin might find it heavy and greasy.

Although I usually prefer watery toners and found this one a bit heavy for my taste, it wasn't overly thick and had a nice flowing consistency. Because of this, when I used it as an exfoliating toner, it reduced friction with the cotton pad, allowing for a smooth application on the skin. Surprisingly, it blended well with my essence and cream without feeling too heavy. Given its moisturizing properties, I also tried using it as an essence. When applied in the order of toner - treatment - cream, I didn't feel any lack of hydration at all. Plus, it didn't cause any blemishes. At first, there was a strong plant-like scent, but I got used to it over time. Since I generally prefer natural ingredient scents over artificial fragrances, it didn't bother me much.
ConsHowever, being a mucus-like toner that focuses on moisturizing rather than providing the watery feel of typical toners, it didn't quite suit the hot weather. While I didn't notice it when using it as an exfoliating toner, when used as an essence or especially as a skin pack, it felt noticeably rich. After removing the skin pack, it felt like my skin had absorbed the moisture from the toner, leaving only the oily residue on my face. Also, I didn't see any particular soothing effects, so it just felt like an average mucus-like toner to me!
