While searching for a mineral sunscreen, I decided to purchase this one after seeing a YouTuber's recommendation! For light outings, I apply this as the final step in my skincare routine. I use a spatula to spread a thin layer and then gently pat it in with a puff. The brightening effect is incredible! My skin looks so radiant, as if I'm wearing foundation. It even covers slight redness, making it perfect for casual outings. If only it could improve blemishes, I'd be tempted to use this instead of my regular base makeup. I'm really satisfied with how hydrating it is and how it creates a clear complexion. The ingredients are especially great! The price... it's quite expensive... While the fragrance is pleasant, it's a bit strong. Those sensitive to scents might find it a bit challenging. Pro tip: Apply a thin layer with a spatula and then pat it in with a puff for best results! - el*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 28, 2024
A gentle and clean mineral sunscreen. It boasts the essential virtue of sun protection with SPF50 / PA+++. Low in potentially harmful ingredients and free from artificial fragrances, making it reassuring. Instead, it contains lavender, scented geranium, and chamomile oils - a natural touch. The main UV-blocking ingredient is zinc oxide, which is another plus for peace of mind. The linalool, citronellol, geraniol, and limonene listed at the bottom of the ingredients are often seen in products with herbal or plant-based ingredients, so they're not a major concern. Despite being a pure white cream, I was surprised it didn't leave a heavy white cast. When applied, it goes on thin and moisturizing, and once absorbed, there's no visible residue. The scent is herbal, and the texture is relatively light and smooth for a mineral sunscreen. It feels moisturizing upon application, but over time it develops a slightly powdery finish. This means those with deep dryness might need to layer a moisturizer underneath. At the same time, this could be a benefit for those with oily skin. On a day when I went out wearing just my basic skincare and this sunscreen, I initially felt a bit of deep dryness right after absorption, which made me pause. But interestingly, as time passed, it seemed to balance out my skin's natural oil production. This makes it perfect for hot and humid seasons. After absorption, there's a slight feeling of deep dryness (based on combination dehydrated skin), so those with dry skin might need to layer a hydrating product underneath. As time passes and your skin produces its natural oils, it settles into a comfortably matte finish, making it suitable for combination dehydrated skin types in spring and summer. - tj********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 10, 2023
Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it doesn't feel overly drying and applies smoothly with a matte finish! It also acts as a light makeup base, allowing foundation or BB cream to blend well after application. It feels like it might be clogging the pores a bit... When my skin isn't in its best condition, I notice a few blemishes popping up. - ki**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 1, 2023
It felt great when applying. It goes on super smoothly, making my skin look sleek and hydrated. The brightening effect was natural-looking, which I loved. Plus, it feels fresh and powdery without any stickiness. However, I experienced absolute hell when I accidentally rubbed my eyes after applying this. My eyes stung and hurt terribly. I ended up throwing away all the remaining samples. I've never had such a painful reaction with other sunscreens when rubbing my eyes. It was truly shocking. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 1, 2023
I'm impressed that despite being a mineral sunscreen, it doesn't feel heavy and gives my skin a beautiful glow. After switching from Dr. X, I find the texture and absorption even better. While it's a sunscreen without coverage, it makes my skin look incredibly healthy! The herbal scent is quite strong, which might be polarizing for some. Considering the price per volume, it seems a bit expensive. For someone like me who applies a generous amount daily, it's a bit of a stretch for my budget. - aj*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 15, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It's so pleasant to apply. Hydrating It doesn't feel greasy or oily. Even when layered, it gives a subtle glow while absorbing naturally into the skin. I love how it feels lightweight yet moisturizing. Adherence Unlike other brightening sunscreens that can be tricky to apply or leave a white cast over time, this one adheres well to the skin even when applied generously. It doesn't pill or separate, making it comfortable to use without worry. Tone-Up Effect This was the aspect I was most excited about, but the tone-up effect is so natural that it's barely noticeable. It might not be enough for a foundation-free look. However, I'd recommend it to those with already good skin who prefer a subtle brightening effect. - jo*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 14, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Still, it's pricey... but good... - jo******Normal SkinRecommendedNov 13, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Pretty good absorption 3. Brightening effect I love that this sunscreen is formulated with gentle and safe ingredients, centered around zinc oxide. Since zinc oxide alone has a limited UV protection spectrum, they've also included butyloctyl salicylate, a chemical UV filter, to broaden the range of sun protection. Zinc oxide-based cosmetics are notorious for their texture, but this one absorbs quite nicely and feels moisturizing. I'm someone who applies sunscreen very generously - I squeeze out about a 500 won coin-sized amount. So, I don't usually expect much from 'no white cast' claims on sunscreens. Honestly, with the amount I use, any mineral sunscreen would look white on my skin! Despite this, when I pat it in, it absorbs quickly and feels much more comfortable than I expected. Very satisfying! Looking at the ingredient list, I see cyclohexasiloxane, propylheptyl caprylate, propanediol, and everything up to niacinamide are safe EWG green-grade ingredients that improve moisture, skin texture, and absorption, making it feel fresh and nice. Plus, with niacinamide included, we can expect some brightening effects too, right? If I had to nitpick, I'd say the price compared to the amount. For someone like me who uses it generously, I'll probably finish it within a month. The scent also feels a bit strong, but I'm okay with any cosmetic smell as long as it's not terrible. Still, a lighter floral scent would be even better! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 12, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The biggest advantage seems to be how gentle it is - even the ingredient list looks mild! Despite my skin becoming more sensitive due to the changing seasons, I haven't experienced any blemishes or issues while using this product. As someone with super sensitive skin, this is the most important aspect for me, and I'm really pleased with how gentle it feels. The second major advantage is how well it absorbs. The absorption is truly amazing, I can't stress this enough... As a sunscreen nomad who's tried various products, I've never experienced such great absorption before. The finish is just right - comfortably matte and perfectly balanced. I used to avoid sunscreen because my foundation would break down quickly after application, but the finish of this product has just the right amount of richness - neither too much nor too little. It's like applying a makeup base. When I use this product under my foundation, it doesn't break down quickly, and it wears similarly to when I apply foundation alone. The brightening effect is also great - it doesn't leave a white cast, just gives a nice, subtle glow. Oh, and the product design is beautifully simple. While the small size might be a downside for some, it fits perfectly in my makeup pouch, which is a plus! There is a slight typical sunscreen scent, but it's not overpowering, so I think most people can use it without any issues. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey for the amount you get... However, once you use it, you'll understand why it's worth the price. But if you can get a 1+1 deal for around 30,000 won on the Hwahae app, I think it's not a bad price at all.
