I haven't applied makeup over this sunscreen, but even with multiple layers, it doesn't pill (which is one of the most important factors for me, along with longevity!).

The white cast from the mineral filters is extremely severe. I'm neither dark nor fair-skinned, but I don't like when products brighten my complexion. I kept patting it in, thinking 'Oh no, what if it doesn't absorb?' Eventually, it does sink in, though it still leaves a brightening effect. It also felt a bit dry, so it didn't really suit me. However, those looking for a brightening moisturizer might be satisfied.
TipRecommendedIt's called an essence sun, but it doesn't apply very smoothly. After the initial layer, if you apply another sunscreen with more oil on top, it reduces the tone-evening effect and creates a more natural finish.
