I have combination to dry skin with no noticeable blemishes, but I'm prone to whiteheads and have a slightly dull, yellowish complexion. I've been on a skincare diet, so my routine is simple: toner, eye cream, cica essence, and cica cream (balm) at night. This toner has a slightly viscous, runny texture. It applies smoothly and has a light, fresh herbal scent that I enjoy. True to its 'ampoule-in-toner' claim, it's quite hydrating. After application, my skin feels moisturized but not greasy. The first night I received it, I was so impressed that I applied three layers. I even forgot to use my cream afterward! While I'm a bit concerned about using up every last drop due to the pump dispenser, for now, it dispenses just the right amount for easy use. The gentle formula and subtle fragrance are perfect, and I love how it hydrates without feeling sticky. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product.
ConsI don't wear makeup, just sunscreen. One morning, I applied two layers of this product followed by sunscreen, and it started pilling like dead skin cells. The residue was colorless, so I tried to brush it off, but I realized layering in the morning isn't ideal. It's fine when using only skincare products, but those who wear makeup should be cautious. I deducted one star for this issue.
TipIn the evening, try layering it and gently patting it into your skin for best results.

Packed with moisturizing ingredients that form a protective layer. Might work even better as a skin pack! The cooling sensation is similar to a cool breeze when you're sweaty. The bottle is simple and easy to use. Doesn't seem to cause any burning sensation.
ConsContains Octyl Dodeceth-16, a PEG-based surfactant. Still leaves blemishes... feels a bit heavy, and sometimes pills later like dead skin cells. For dry or combination dehydrated skin, you need to use a water-based toner first (adds an extra step, essentially making this more like an essence). Difficult to use under makeup as it leaves the skin sticky, so you need to wait for it to dry. Tends to pill a bit. Contains fragrance, so it has a scent. Reminds me of the cosmetic smell my aunt used to wear when I was young - nostalgic! The pump makes it tricky to dispense directly onto the face, so I squeeze it onto the back of my hand first. It's expensive! Glad I got to try it through The Hwahae Testers.
TipLike this product and others such as Isntree, these viscous hyaluronic acid toners are best thought of as essences. It's a good idea to apply a separate toner first, then use these.
