When used as an exfoliating toner, it leaves your skin feeling thoroughly cleansed and effectively removes dead skin cells, leaving your complexion smooth and radiant.
ConsThe scent is reminiscent of vinegar, which suggests it could be quite irritating to the skin. It also has a slightly slippery texture. Those prone to redness should absolutely avoid using this product.
TipIt's best to use this as an exfoliating toner only occasionally, when you're dealing with a serious build-up of dead skin cells.

It is truly faithful to the basics.
ConsI apply it using cotton pads, and it feels quite irritating due to the friction. It's recommended to use it once every two or three days.

It is slightly irritating, so caution is required when using it.
ConsIt is irritating. If you apply even a little bit too much to thin areas of the skin, it feels like a burn.

I thought I was imagining it, so I smelled it again when I used it the second time, and sure enough... the same exact smell! I did a peeling-like exfoliation by rubbing it on a cotton pad, and it felt a bit irritating. How irritating? It felt a bit more irritating than when I used 2% or 9% retinol. However, if I follow up with a hydrating and moisturizing toner or cream, the irritation is greatly reduced. Personally, I think this product is less irritating if I just dispense a small amount onto my palm and absorb it directly into my skin, rather than rubbing it on with a cotton pad. Rubbing it on with a cotton pad seems to make it more irritating. They marketed this as being developed for Korean skin, but personally, I'm not so sure about that.
ConsIt's a bit irritating. And more importantly, it doesn't quite surpass the effects and performance of the existing 2% retinol and 8% AHA products. I'm not sure why, but this product is unusually more expensive than those two. The marketing says it's customized for Korean skin, but from my personal perspective, it just seems like an excuse to charge more. I felt the effects of 2% retinol, 8% AHA, and even 9% retinol were amazingly effective, but this retinol + AHA + PHA treatment feels much more irritating and less effective in comparison. If they would just allow the import of 2% retinol, I think that would give consumers much more satisfaction. But for some reason, 2% retinol is banned in our country, which is really unfortunate. I have no plans to repurchase this. I'd rather just order 2% retinol through personal import.
