  I usually worry about dead skin cells and skin texture. This AHA 8% essence is more effective at exfoliating than other essences. I thought it might sting when applied, but it's as gentle as a regular water-based essence with no irritation.

  Cons

  While I use it daily, I must admit that for exfoliation, using a physical peeling gel is definitely more effective.

  This is a leave-on peeling essence. Unlike traditional peel-off or rinse-off exfoliants, you can now gently care for dead skin cells and impurities during your basic skincare routine. The essence has a watery consistency, but it feels a bit more hydrating and smoother than a toner when applied! It's pleasant to use due to its refreshing essence-type formula, and the AHA ingredients help make the skin smooth. What's more, it contains chestnut shell extract from Gongju, which is said to help with sebum and pore care. Being a silicon-free formula that doesn't clog pores, it's a peeling essence I feel even more comfortable using. I was a bit concerned about potential tingling, but I didn't experience any irritation while using it.

  Since I regularly use an exfoliating toner, I didn't notice any dramatic peeling effects or significant improvements. It's probably unrealistic to expect results as intense as a dedicated exfoliating product.
