Even though they say it's fragrance-free, there's usually a subtle plastic-like smell, but this ampoule has absolutely no smell at all. The texture is like a thin watery consistency. It spreads smoothly and absorbs quickly. It sinks in within 1-2 minutes, leaving the skin smooth and soft rather than just hydrated. It would be great for oily skin types who want a refreshing and lightweight skincare routine in the summer.
ConsThe best feature but also a bit disappointing aspect is the finish. Due to the refreshing finish, it may feel a bit lacking in hydration and dry.
Tip💙 Mix or layer with other products 💙 Not only are there no 20 major harmful ingredients or allergens, but there are also no ingredients that should be avoided for any skin type, so it can be used by oily, dry, or sensitive skin types. However, those who are not oily may feel a bit dry due to the refreshing finish, so it would be good to layer it twice or use it before a cream, feeling like you're adding nourishing ingredients. And since the ingredients are great and the texture is light, it would also be good to mix it with other products.

Additionally, some ampoules can feel heavy and oily, but this ampoule's lightweight texture is an advantage in that regard.
ConsThis is not the completely moisturizing ampoule I was expecting!!!! It's clearly very watery, but after using it, my skin feels dry, if that makes sense 🙙.. I have combination skin with a lot of trouble on my forehead, but it doesn't seem to affect the breakouts in the center of my forehead. However, if I only apply the toner and ampoule without the cream, my skin feels tight.
TipIn the morning after cleansing, I put the ampoule and a very moisturizing toner (I used the Etude Soonjung Toner) in a large container with pads, put it in the refrigerator, and used it as a pack on my forehead and cheeks when my skin was flushed or needed cooling!!

The watery texture didn't feel too runny, and the slight viscosity made it easy to apply just the right amount! Although I don't have photos since I used it in my dorm, I felt like my pores looked smaller than before. I felt it was very gentle, and the fragrance-free formula enhanced that impression. Also, I didn't experience any new breakouts! It absorbed well and didn't leave a greasy or slippery feeling, which I liked!
ConsWhen I only applied it once, it felt refreshing, but if I applied more than two layers, my face felt a bit stuffy..😢 And I didn't feel it was extremely moisturizing, so I had to apply a lotion on top. And I did experience a few minor breakouts, though the calming effect was limited.. I don't think there was anything else noteworthy.😁
TipAs I mentioned before, I don't recommend applying more than two layers, as it can make your face feel stuffy..

When I applied the product, it absorbed well without any stickiness, so it seemed like a good product to use in the summer.
ConsAfter using it for a week, it seems like an average product. Compared to the product I was using before, it was a bit lacking in terms of soothing and hydration, but I didn't experience any additional breakouts.

Surprisingly, the refreshing finish remained, which I really liked. 💙 On the 3rd day, the acne had all subsided, the skin texture became even smoother, and the overall redness decreased. However, even with two droppers' worth, the hydration didn't last until morning. To get a more nourishing feel, I mixed in half a dropper of the Innisfree Black Tea Ampoule. -> The two work well together! Using the Black Tea alone felt a bit rich for summer, but the combination of the Black Tea's hydration and the Madecassoside Ampoule's refreshing finish was just perfect. 💙 Final Day (Overall Impression) In one word, I'd say this is a 'refreshing ampoule that's great for morning use'. The calming effect was really satisfying, as the redness around trouble spots and on the nose area had reduced significantly. However, despite the watery texture, the hydration only lasts for about 3 hours, so it may be a bit lacking for evening use. The appearance is really appealing to me. It's neat and portable, so it would be great to use while traveling. If asked if I'd buy it, I don't think I would...
ConsAs someone with very dry skin, the hydration was a bit lacking. I prefer to focus more on hydration in the evenings, and this product didn't quite meet that standard, which is disappointing. Given the clear pros and cons, I'd recommend trying it out based on your own skin type. For oily skin, this could potentially be a holy grail product.
TipHighly recommend for oily skin! Also great for acne-prone skin! For normal to dry skin, it's refreshing and lightweight, but the hydration level is just adequate, so it may be lacking. Not recommended for dry skin -> Better to use a more hydrating product. Even for normal to dry skin, it may be a bit drying in the summer, and for dry skin, you'd have to use it like a toner in the summer to be able to use it at all. In that case, it's better to use a different product... Haha the money would be wasted. The volume is also on the smaller side.

The T-zone is quite oily, but the cheeks and chin are dry. Overall, my skin is severely dehydrated, so I don't often use matte foundation even in the summer. This product is an ampoule with no oil at all. After applying, it absorbs quickly and leaves no residue on the skin. It feels like applying water (the texture is also watery). I prefer basic products without oil, and in that respect, I'm satisfied with this product. Even a little bit of oiliness can cause breakouts or a feeling of itchiness and heaviness, so I'm satisfied on that point.
ConsThe only satisfactory part about using this product is the lack of oiliness. That's the disappointing aspect. I can't really expect any calming effects from this. And while the lack of oil was good, there's not much hydration either. After applying, I felt my skin was even drier than right after using a toner.
TipI would recommend storing and using this product in the refrigerator during the summer. And this product seems like it needs to be followed immediately with another moisturizing basic skincare product to replenish the moisture.

ConsAside from oily skin, it lacks moisture for dry and combination skin types. The almost water-like texture does not have a bouncy feel. Even after 3 layers, there is no sense of being fully moisturized. It may be fine for light application in the summer, but other ampoules or creams will likely need to be applied.
TipApply this as the first step, then follow up with other ampoules or creams

However, the surface of the skin feels tight and dry. I especially noticed dryness around the lip area, so I had to apply a lotion afterwards. And since this was my first time using the product, I was mindful of potential redness, but surprisingly, there was no irritation at all - it was very soothing. The ingredients themselves seem stable, which I appreciated. This seems like a good product to use when the skin is irritated and sensitive, to help calm any troubles.
Cons1. Oil and moisture balance As mentioned earlier, the calming effect is excellent. You can see the skin becoming comfortably soothed. However, there is a lack of oil and the moisture level doesn't quite meet my expectations. I wish it was a bit more hydrating. It feels powdery and slightly tightening. While it provides a relaxing effect, the basic oil and moisture balance is quite lacking. 2. Dryness (occasional inner dryness) There is a refreshing and bouncy feeling that wells up from within, but overall, it's quite drying, so applying a lotion or cream is essential. This ampoule alone is not enough to address the dryness. Personally, I prefer products without oil, but a slight amount of hydration would be nice.
