After morning cleansing, gently wipe the rough areas and then absorb the essence into the soft areas to complete the moisturizing skin care routine. ㅎㅎ A particularly good point is that the tweezers are fixed inside the lid, which is hygienic!
ConsI haven't finished using a whole container yet, so I'm not sure if it brightens the skin tone. But I'm satisfied that the essence isn't sticky and keeps my skin moisturized!
TipDuring dry winters, just cleansing with water in the morning and then using this pad to wipe and absorb the essence can start the day feeling fresh and moisturized, without any stickiness.

Honestly, I thought the pads would only be moisturizing right after use, but they actually last quite a long time! Using the ampoule along with the pads makes them last even longer. I'd recommend this especially for those with oily or dry skin. The pads are also very gentle - there's hardly any irritation, even when used firmly. They're gentle enough that even those with sensitive skin can use them. The pads from other brands tend to be a bit rougher, but these are much milder. So you can use them without worry. And the hygiene aspect is great too. Other brands have applicators, but no good storage, so they can get contaminated easily. But these have an easy and hygienic way to store the applicator, which is so convenient. I really, really recommend this. And the best part is the pad size!!! They're huge, so you only need 3 pads for a full face mask, which is awesome.
ConsFirst of all, I wouldn't expect much in terms of whitening effects... And the pads are a bit too gentle, so I'm not sure if the exfoliation is really effective enough... But for those with sensitive skin, this would be great. My skin is pretty resilient to irritation, so I could rub the pads on firmly without any issues.
TipIf you use the ampoule about 5 minutes after the pads, the moisturizing effect will really last a long time. And if you're looking for a soothing, cooling effect, you can also try keeping the pads in the refrigerator before use.

I have some blemishes and redness. I used to use the first-generation first essence, which was fine, but it was a bit sticky, so I switched to a cheaper option. This time, I won the Hwahae Trial Reviewer pad and tried it, though I didn't have high expectations, thinking it would be similar to the previous one. Texture and usage experience: The pad didn't feel cheap compared to others. It had a slightly rough side that could exfoliate, and a smooth side that could be used as a mask. The rough side wasn't too harsh. Usually, when pads have a lot of product, they feel too wet and drip down, which I dislike, but this one didn't drip. It wasn't as moisturizing as the smooth side, but the combination of being moisturizing yet not dripping was great. There was no tightness or stickiness, and it felt nicely hydrated. Even my mom, who's over 70 years old, used it and was very satisfied, saying she'll continue using it. She had never been satisfied with the previous Hwahae Trial Reviewer products, but this was the first time she was.
ConsThe hydration wasn't dramatically impressive, and there was no whitening effect. First essences are typically made with fermented extracts, which have whitening benefits, but this one was less effective than the previous one. The price is also high. I know first essences are generally more expensive, but there are other, more affordable skin pads that are better, so I'm not sure if I need to keep using this one. I might buy it during sales or when I feel like it.
