Pros

While it's not super hydrating, it does leave the skin feeling soft and slightly cool. Perfect for summer use.

Cons

Wow. Hives galore. This is the first time I've ever had hives from a body emulsion. The reaction didn't even happen immediately after application, but about half a day later, my skin completely flared up, making it hard to pinpoint the cause at first. Later, when I looked into it, I found out it has a ton of ingredients to be cautious about. It was actually quite nice for summer use, which makes this all the more disappointing.

Pros

This product is perfect for summer use. They've really nailed the formula for the hot, humid, sweat-dripping season. It contains menthol, which gives a slight cooling sensation when applied. The absorbs well, so you don't have to struggle with application even when you're sweating buckets in the summer. It glides on effortlessly. The finish is matte, so you can put on clothes or lie down immediately after application without feeling like it's transferring to your clothes or bedding. I'm not sure if it contains powder, but unlike other emulsions that can feel slippery on knees or elbows when you sweat in summer, this one feels dry and comfortable. The scent might be divisive, but I like it. It's somewhat reminiscent of deodorant... haha! The price is also very reasonable. It seems to be on sale regularly at Olive Young. I bought it for 6,900 won.

Cons

As it's a matte-finish product specialized for summer use, the hydration level is a bit lacking. It's better than using nothing, but as someone with dry skin, I definitely couldn't use this in winter. The pump tends to clog quite easily. Perhaps it's because the formula is different from other more moisturizing products, but it often clumps at the pump opening. So be careful when pressing the pump if it's clogged, as the product can suddenly squirt out everywhere. If you apply too much, it can pill like dead skin cells. When you feel it's not moisturizing enough and squeeze out a lot, it leaves a white residue on your palms. While it's not a major drawback given the low price, it does run out quickly. Due to its easy application and quick absorption, I find myself using it liberally and finishing a bottle in a month. I probably go through 2-3 bottles in a summer.

Tip

The cooling effect isn't very noticeable when you just apply it normally, but if you apply it in front of a fan or air conditioner, it becomes refreshingly cool.
