  I know Papa Recipe's brand story - it's about a dad creating skincare for his daughter! Doesn't that just scream clean ingredients? I trusted this and bought it without hesitation! This product is a gel-type emulsion, perfect for summer when cream moisturizers feel too heavy. It contains tea tree, which is great for red and blemish-prone skin, so it was gentle enough for my super sensitive skin! Personally, I loved the subtle tea tree scent too.

  Cons

  Due to its gel emulsion nature, if you apply too much, it can cause pilling when you put on base makeup.

  Tip

  For those with dry skin, this might be too light to use alone. I'd recommend layering it over an emulsion or serum for best results!

  It absorbs really well. The texture is similar to aloe cream, and when applied, it gives a cooling sensation on the skin.

  Cons

  Unlike what it appears, the finish is quite sticky. If applied before makeup, it feels like it would cause pilling. Also, for some reason, I experienced blemishes after using it...

  I snagged this at an early bird special price. My skin tends to be super sensitive, but I didn't experience any new blemishes when using it. In fact, it seemed to calm down some of my existing small bumps.

  It tends to pill a bit when applying makeup over it, so I only use it for my skincare routine at home.

  Pros

  I usually enjoy using Yada Soothing Gel, so I'll compare this to that. I didn't expect much, but wow, this is good too! Unlike aloe, it's not sticky, and it applies smoothly like a gel cream. Some gel creams can feel heavy, but this one doesn't. It's great as a cream substitute in summer, and it's good for oily skin too. Compared to Yada Soothing Gel, this feels like it has more ingredients added. The consistency is thicker, and the color is opaque. Because of this, while I use Yada Soothing Gel generously like a mask, I use this one in smaller amounts like a regular cream. The ingredients are nice, and although it's a bit pricey... I'd love to stock up if it goes on sale.

  Cons

  For a gel cream, the price could be a bit lower. If you apply it generously, you might experience some pilling during makeup application. It was fine for me, but depending on how it interacts with other cosmetics, it might pill. For daytime use, either apply a small amount or skip it.

  Tip

  It's great to mix with oils or essences, or even use on its own.
