First off, I loved that it wasn't sticky at all! It provided good hydration and was pleasant to use overall.
ConsThe scent is a bit unpleasant. While it's not overpowering, when you bring it close to your skin, you can smell an artificial fragrance. I bought this after seeing recommendations for its effectiveness on keratosis pilaris, but I'm not sure if it really helped.

User experience: I first tried this product last winter after highlighting my serious itching problem in a comment event. I was so pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness that I've since repurchased it with my own money. My skin was so dry that I couldn't even use microfiber blankets or electric mats, especially in winter. Last winter, I had unbearable itching from my collarbone to my chest. I tried everything - body oils, essences, you name it. But this product was the most effective. While other products only provided temporary relief, Dermavi consistently reduced my scratching over time! I've been using it regularly for about 6 months now. Not only did it help with itching, but I also loved the texture. Unlike most hydrating body emulsions that can be thick or leave a sticky residue, Dermavi applies smoothly without feeling heavy or tacky. It might feel a bit rich for summer use, but for those who shower twice daily, it's an absolute summer essential. Comparison with other body emulsions: - Cetaphil Body Emulsion (not cream): Cetaphil is thinner and spreads more easily, but Dermavi leaves less stickiness and slip after use. Cetaphil is completely fragrance-free, while Dermavi has a slight petroleum-like scent, which is a downside. - Neutrogena Intense Cica: Similar application, but Dermavi was more effective for itch relief. Neutrogena is also completely fragrance-free.
ConsThe scent... that subtle petroleum-like smell... It's really the only drawback of this product...
TipThe key tip is consistent application. To combat dryness and chicken skin, apply regularly. Even when you think your skin is fine, skipping application can quickly lead to dryness and bumpy skin... To all my fellow extremely dry-skinned friends out there... let's stay strong!

It worked well on dry areas of my arms and legs during the winter months.
ConsIt's almost fragrance-free, but there's a slight medicinal scent? I wouldn't say it's particularly pleasant.

It noticeably reduced my skin irritation.
ConsThe product doesn't have any added fragrance, so you can smell the raw cosmetic ingredients. I wasn't a fan of the scent.

However, this one applies smoothly, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin hydrated. The fast absorption means I can apply it on busy mornings without any inconvenience when getting dressed. It's gentle enough for sensitive skin, causing no irritation, and it even helps alleviate itching from dry skin, which is great.
ConsWhile it seems to be unscented, there's a slight artificial ointment-like smell, which is a bit disappointing.

Product Texture The formula absorbs so well you can feel it instantly on your skin. Even visually, you can see the hydration come alive. 2. Hydration Despite being a body emulsion, it seems to have a high moisture density. I applied about a fingernail-sized amount to the dry, cracked parts of my fingers, and within a minute it absorbed and softened the skin! Amazing! 3. Zero Stickiness Honestly, I'm not a fan of the lingering feeling after applying emulsions, but this one is different. It's the perfect lightweight, all-season emulsion for someone like me who prefers that.
ConsIf I had to nitpick, the scent was a bit disappointing. It's a complex fragrance somewhere between baby powder and medicinal products, which might be divisive.

My legs used to get especially dry and itchy in winter, but the itchiness has really decreased a lot! I'll need to keep an eye on the keratosis pilaris for a bit longer. There's no running or dripping, but it's moisturizing and absorbs well. It's easy to apply quickly, and it feels like it's filling the skin with hydration overall. The sticky feeling doesn't linger on your hands or body for long, and I like how it leaves a clean finish.
ConsHmm... the scent? It's supposed to be fragrance-free, but to me it smells a bit medicinal.
TipI used an exfoliating product, body pads, or clear pads to remove dead skin cells before applying it!

While it's not extremely hydrating, it's perfect as a daily body emulsion for dry skin. It's not sticky, so you can layer it a few times without issue. ● Easy to absorb with a rich texture: It has a slightly thick, yogurt-like consistency. It's neither too runny nor too thick, making it easy to spread. The absorption rate is also quite good. ● Gentle enough for all age groups: After using it for about a week, I didn't experience any blemishes on my body. I was a bit worried because I had some blemishes on my back, but there were no issues. ● Clean packaging: I personally liked the sleek design of the package.
Cons● Unpleasant scent: It seems to be unscented, but there's a somewhat chemical smell. It's not very pleasant when applied near the face, like on the neck. I prefer a cozy scent for winter emulsions, so that aspect was a bit disappointing. The previous Dermave body products had comforting scents! ● Could highlight key ingredients: While the package introduces what kind of product it is, it doesn't strongly emphasize its main features. This could be a bit confusing. As a tester, I'll read up on it before use, but consumers encountering this product for the first time in an offline market might be unsure about what type of emulsion it is.
TipApply to damp skin. You can layer it without it becoming sticky, so feel free to apply multiple times.

While it takes a bit of time to fully absorb, by the time I've finished drying my hair after applying, it's well absorbed into my skin. For my body type (neutral skin), this product offers excellent hydration. (Of course, I do tend to apply it generously.)
ConsThe scent... At first, you catch whiffs of a floral fragrance, but as you continue applying, it starts to smell more medicinal? It's a scent that leans towards the less appealing side for me. Because of this, I usually finish by applying a nice-smelling body emulsion or solid perfume around my neck area.

When I got selected for The Hwahae Testers, I decided to try this product alongside it. Let me share my comparison: ✓ Lightweight texture I expected CeraeMD to have a heavy consistency since it's good for soothing itchiness caused by dryness. Surprisingly, it's closer to a light cream texture. You can layer it without feeling burdened. The Mild version feels a bit richer in comparison. ✓ Quick absorption & Low stickiness Since I'm not a fan of applying products on my body, I prioritize fast absorption and non-sticky feel when choosing body emulsions. In terms of absorption, I'd give the edge to CeraeMD over Mild. It absorbs slightly faster, and most importantly, it's less sticky. Even my brother, who usually dislikes body emulsions, borrowed it to use! That's how non-sticky it is.
Cons✗ Insufficient hydration for extremely dry skin My calves are prone to scaling, and if I don't moisturize properly in winter, my skin cracks and it's miserable. The leg I applied Mild Body Emulsion to the night before was fine, but the one with CeraeMD felt slightly dry (thankfully, no itching). Those with extremely dry skin might need to use additional oil or apply more layers. ✗ Fragrant ointment scent (subjective) While Mild has that typical unscented product smell, CeraeMD has a more fragrant ointment-like scent. Personally, I prefer body products without fragrance, so this was a bit disappointing for me. I might be particularly sensitive to scents though, as my family members said they barely noticed any fragrance.
Tip✓ Due to my job, I frequently wash my hands, leaving them dry and itchy. Using this as a hand cream substitute has been satisfying! I've significantly reduced scratching my hands. ✓ Applying it right after showering makes your skin feel much more hydrated.
