The texture is just right - not too thin or thick. It absorbs quickly into the skin when applied. After absorption, it doesn't feel sticky but leaves a firm, glowing finish that visibly improves skin texture. Best of all, it works well under makeup without pilling or feeling heavy. It's also excellent for improving blemishes. The only downside is the small size. I wish I could order a larger volume. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinNov 9, 2022
For oily/blemish-prone/dry skin types: It applies smoothly like a sleeping pack, and you won't feel dry even after waking up! In this weather, without a humidifier, I'd usually wake up with tight skin and oil dripping... But on nights I used this, there was no tightness at all. No blemishes appeared for a week. It also worked well under my morning skincare routine - sunscreen and foundation didn't pill and absorbed nicely. The packaging is so pretty! The price... oh my! Please give us a bit more of a discount! It's... it's quite expensive... It's great as a hydrating moisturizer in your skincare routine. Makeup doesn't pill and absorbs well! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2022
- The camellia flower illustration on the packaging is absolutely gorgeous and luxurious, which really lifted my spirits. - I was pleased that it's fragrance-free, as I prefer unscented emulsions and creams. - The cream has a lovely ivory color. - While it looks like a rich, nourishing cream, it actually feels more like a hydrating moisturizer when applied. Even with a thick layer, it absorbs well into the skin. - I love that it doesn't pill when layered with other emulsions or creams. - I was surprised to find out it's an anti-wrinkle product, given its lightweight texture. Most anti-aging products I've used felt heavy or suffocating, so I'd only use them at night. But the Camellia Barrier Core Cream is perfect for morning use too. - After the first day of use, I noticed my complexion looked brighter in the morning. I was amazed to discover it also has brightening properties. - I'm using this with my mom who's in her 50s, and she loves it too, which makes me even happier about using it. - I can't really think of any downsides. I'm just glad I discovered such a great product. Knowing it's manufactured by Kolmar Korea makes me trust it even more. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2022
- Eco-friendly: I appreciated the environmentally conscious paper packaging. - Texture: The cream's texture felt incredibly moisturizing and elastic. I usually alternate between soothing and nourishing creams, and this one seemed to strike a perfect balance - somewhere between a snail cream and a cica balm! - Application: It spread easily and smoothly. Even before makeup, it absorbed well without any pilling. - Versatility: I loved that it was suitable for both morning and evening use. It doesn't seem to be season or time-specific, and with proper amount control, it didn't interfere with makeup application. - Fragrance-free: Given that camellia is the main ingredient, I expected a floral scent, but was pleasantly surprised it's unscented. As someone with mild cosmetic allergies who has experienced itching from fragranced products, I found this cream very comfortable on my skin. Overall, it's a reliable cream that I find myself reaching for often! - Price: I received this as part of The Hwahae Testers program, but when I checked the price, it was a whopping 50,000 won. It feels quite expensive considering the quantity and ingredients. - Oiliness: When applied before makeup, I noticed it became slightly oilier over time than expected. With careful amount control, it should still be usable pre-makeup. - Texture / Complexion improvement: Since I haven't used it for long, I haven't seen noticeable effects yet. The product guide claimed visible texture improvement after just one use, which wasn't my experience. While consistent use of this pleasant cream might yield benefits, the lack of immediate, visible results was disappointing. For best results, apply generously in the evening and use a smaller amount in the morning. I used it alongside Dalba mist and the combination seemed to work well, making my skin feel more elastic. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2022
- Nearly fragrance-free I'm not a fan of strongly scented cosmetics, but this product is almost unscented, so it wasn't overwhelming at all. - Perfect absorption and application The texture is smooth like other nourishing creams, but it absorbs so quickly that you'll wonder if you even applied it. It feels like a thin oil film right after applying an essence :) There's no stickiness, so it doesn't pill even when applied before makeup! It's an ideal cream for seasonal transitions. - Suitable for oily skin too As someone with oily, blemish-prone skin, I usually avoid rich firming creams. However, this cream isn't excessively nourishing, so it didn't cause any blemishes! It seems like a great product for those in their 20s interested in early anti-aging skincare. If I had to point out one drawback, it's that the cream alone doesn't provide a very hydrating feel. It's best to layer on plenty of hydration in the steps before applying this cream! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 4, 2022
Review after one month of use: Well... it's still just an average cream. The downside is that one layer isn't quite hydrating enough, and even reapplying doesn't significantly improve it. It's a suitable cream for those who don't have dry skin. 1. Texture It absorbs well and isn't heavy, making it easy to use generously. It's not sticky and has a slightly silky finish. However, it's not particularly watery or refreshing. You can definitely feel it on your skin. It doesn't cause pilling when applying makeup. 2. Scent Fragrance-free. Overall: To be honest, 'skin barrier improvement' is quite vague and difficult to evaluate in a short period. However, it's comfortable to use and non-irritating, so the first impression is good. Since it's the changing season, I'll update on redness and dryness after using it a bit longer. It didn't cause any skin reactions, but there were no outstanding pros or cons either. It absorbs well even with a small amount.
