Pros I was selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer, but due to the aftereffects of COVID-19, I couldn't use it for a long time. However, I'm finally able to share my review after using the product thoroughly.
My original skin type is slightly atopic and sensitive, with a tendency towards dehydration. But due to the aftereffects of COVID-19, my skin barrier was compromised, and I was unable to properly shed dead skin cells, leading to a severe outbreak of milia, especially in the T-zone area. I've never experienced such a significant milia outbreak before in my life.
Intensive exfoliation, soothing, and hydration were crucial, and this Ceramide Flower Cream was very helpful in providing soothing and moisturizing care. I believe that ceramides are unparalleled in repairing a damaged skin barrier, so I've been using this cream, especially during seasonal changes, and have noticed my skin barrier gradually recovering.
The texture of this cream is thick and balm-like, as shown in the image. Although it may seem like it would not spread well, it actually applies smoothly without any clumping. I'd consider the spreadability of this cream to be quite good.
After application, I didn't experience a heavy, oily feeling, which was a pleasant surprise. However, those with an extremely dehydrated skin type who prefer richer, more emollient creams may find this cream lacking in that aspect. It provides a strong, enveloping sensation, making it an excellent choice as the final step in a skincare routine.
I was also very pleased that this cream is completely fragrance-free, as I've become highly sensitive to scents due to the COVID-19 aftereffects. I generally prefer fragrance-free products to avoid any potential irritation.
Cons As for the drawbacks, the price seemed a bit high considering the product volume. Also, those with extremely dehydrated skin types may find it lacking in oil content, especially during seasonal changes or in the winter. However, the pros of this product outweigh the cons.
If the brand could offer this product on sale more frequently, it would help alleviate the price burden. Additionally, since it comes in a jar format, it may be inconvenient for most people in their daily skincare routine. Offering a tube version as well would likely make it more accessible and convenient for users to reach for.
Overall, this was a very positive experience, with the product's strengths clearly outweighing any minor drawbacks.
Tip That's a great tip to help address the potential drawbacks! Mixing in about 3 drops of your regular facial oil with this cream can really help boost the moisture and occlusive properties, especially for those with extremely dehydrated skin types. Fortunately, this cream seems to pair well with the facial oil I normally use, so I plan to continue using this cream throughout the winter season.
This cream really does provide excellent moisturization considering its smooth application. If you've been using pricey essences or ampoules upfront and feel like the benefits are getting "washed away," I highly recommend this cream. It does an amazing job of locking in all the goodness from your previous skincare steps.
Additionally, I found this cream to be an excellent choice for the neck area. Since it doesn't leave a heavy, sticky residue, you can apply it over your neck without worrying about it transferring onto your clothes. The lightweight yet hydrating formula works beautifully as a final step, sealing in your essence application without any unpleasant tackiness.
