When people complained about the lack of lather on Anilo's official Instagram, they just replied to pre-wash? I tried it because Instagram influencers raved about it, but now I understand why they always pre-wash in Anilo shampoo videos. Without pre-washing, it simply doesn't lather. After first use, I thought my scalp was unusually oily that day. After the second and third use, I realized this shampoo just can't handle oil in one wash. I wash my hair once a day, and this is the first time I've experienced a non-lathering shampoo. I've used surfactant-free shampoos for years, but never seen one that doesn't lather at all. While it keeps hair healthy, pre-washing and then using this makes hair extremely stiff. Why on earth is it so expensive? Oh, and after pre-washing, lathering Anilo, and leaving it for the recommended 3 minutes, I felt like I had even more blemishes. I can only laugh at this point. It's terrible value for money. They market it as a vegan shampoo, but I've just learned it contains harmful ingredients. I should have researched more before buying. Their official Instagram only keeps positive comments. When people complain about no lather, they suggest pre-washing and then delete the comments.
