I have a light undertone, somewhere between deep and cool. I bought this tint because the color looked pretty when I swatched it on the back of my hand, even though I knew it might not suit me. The stain it leaves is pink, haha. I actually like the stained color, but it might not be ideal for those with a true warm undertone...

Longevity, longevity, longevity, longevity! I've never seen a tint with such incredible staying power. That's why I came to Hwahae. Usually, after eating, my lips look like I've just woken up, but with this tint, it remains even after a meal. It's the first tint that stays on so well. Even after a 6-hour shift wearing a mask and drinking, it's still there. Unbelievable!

Moreover, I love how it applies without being too vibrant. I prefer makeup that looks effortless, you know? It's all about that natural look.

There's no issue with dead skin cells showing or other common quality problems seen with other tints. Honestly, if the color suited me better, it would be the perfect tint.

The Couture Lip Tint Pure Velvet truly lives up to its name, delivering a velvety finish. It glides on smoothly while providing excellent color payoff. What's more, it feels moisturizing! Even with a bare face, this tint alone can serve as a beautiful accent.

While not completely low in saturation, the color payoff is quite soft and leans towards medium-low saturation. If you prefer highly saturated colors, this might not be your cup of tea. Even with multiple layers, the color doesn't build up significantly, so those who like intense pigmentation might feel like they're barely wearing anything.

Also, while it appears as a deep red when first applied, it stains a vivid pink flower color. Over time, it evolves into a pink-red hue, which might not be what everyone is looking for.

This Garnet shade is truly challenging to capture in photos, but it's a deep red color. Along with #3 Marron Chaud, it's one of the deeper shades in this line. However, since the entire line features more muted colors, even this Garnet isn't as vibrant or deep as you might expect, resulting in a more subdued look. It's perfect for a natural yet lively lip tint that works well with a bare face.

The texture is very similar to Peripera's Airy Velvet. However, it's slightly thinner and has a more delicate color payoff compared to the Airy Velvet. Thanks to its moisturizing application, it doesn't feel drying, and it doesn't significantly emphasize dead skin cells. Still, as it's a velvet tint, proper lip care is essential. It also has better adherence to the lips, and once it sets, there's minimal transfer.

The scent is chocolate, not quite subtle but not overpowering either.

I've always been a huge fan of Espoir's red lipsticks (just for the color) and have collected them by line. But Pure Velvet Garnet... while I like the texture, it transforms into a shocking pink that I absolutely detest after about 5 minutes of wear. It starts as a gorgeous deep red, but then suddenly morphs into this bright pink. I've never been so taken aback by a tint before. It's my first experience with such a drastic color change. I can't speak for the other shades, but Pure Velvet Garnet is a real disappointment. Only buy it if you're looking for a bright pink shade. If you're dead set on getting a Pure Velvet, please go to Olive Young and test all the colors, including how they stain, before purchasing. I'm completely shocked and feel like I've wasted my money.

The lightweight and silky smooth texture is really nice. There's nothing else quite like it.
