True to the Aesop brand, the fragrance was very pleasant. The scent is not typical of cosmetics but more akin to what you'd find in a hand cream. I quite liked it. The cream formula has a somewhat rich feel and a slight oily texture, which worked well for my dry skin. The moisturizing effect seems adequate, though I haven't used it in the winter yet, so I'm not sure if it would be too much for that season.
