Absorbs beautifully and spreads thinly even without using the spatula (which can be a hassle). The coverage is fantastic! If you're between shades 21 and 23 and find 21 too light, I highly recommend this. As someone with very dry skin, it doesn't dry me out at all. Oh, and the packaging is adorably cute! There's honestly nothing bad to say about it. Even if I tried to find something, I really can't! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinApr 7, 2024
I repurchased this for my combination dehydrated skin. It's a bit dry in winter, but great for other seasons. The prices vary wildly. If you're on the fence, wait for a sale to stock up. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 30, 2024
The staying power is truly impressive! I applied this, topped it with Banila Co powder, went to a concert, had some drinks, and came back home - not a single smudge for 8 hours straight. My friend even complimented me on how great my skin looked today. The semi-matte foundation is perfect for dry skin types in summer. I usually work wearing a mask, and this doesn't leave significant mask marks. It dries to a comfortable finish, which I love. However, I'm very diligent with my skincare routine. For dry skin in transitional seasons, it can feel a bit matte. I recommend applying a small amount of Jung Saem Mool water cream before the foundation for best results. The travel-sized option is super convenient for trips! The color runs dark... I usually use shade 21 and prefer makeup that's half a shade lighter, so I normally use Jung Saem Mool Cushion in Fair Light. I've typically used Clio cushions in Linen, so I bought that shade this time too. But whether it's because it's a travel size or the colors differ, it's way too dark. I can't use it alone at all, so I'm mixing it with BB cream. Next time, I'll go for the Lingerie shade. The opening on the travel size is terrible. There's a spatula-like applicator, but the foundation leaks all around the cap. Seriously, who designed this lid? Despite being called 'Kill Cover', the pore coverage and overall coverage aren't particularly impressive. It's more about thin, lightweight application and good staying power. I actually prefer the lighter coverage, but if you're expecting high coverage and pore concealing, this might not be for you. To make up for the lacking pore coverage, try using it with Banila Co Prime Primer Powder. The combination gives perfect staying power and pore coverage! I used these two for a 3-hour concert and my makeup stayed flawless! When applying the powder, use a foundation brush with firm bristles and gently press it into your pores. This will make them virtually disappear! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 18, 2024
The Clio Kill Cover line is a trusted go-to. Switching from cushions, I found it covers redness and marks well while adhering nicely without drying. The shade matched my complexion perfectly. It's easy to touch up by gently patting with a cushion, and it doesn't break down throughout the day. I've been using it daily without any issues. Controlling the amount dispensed is challenging. Each pump releases quite a bit, and it's hard to press lightly for less product. I end up wasting a little bit every time I use it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 7, 2023
The skin finish is absolutely beautiful, with a subtle glow that's just lovely. It applies thinly and doesn't feel dry, which is fantastic! If you layer your skincare well, it goes on even more smoothly. The color is also pretty, so I think I'll use it often. While the photo quality isn't great due to low light, it shows a similar skin finish to what you get in person! I used to struggle with cushion foundations - when I patted them on with a puff, my skin would look dry, textured, and worse the more I applied. This product has solved that problem for me! There's nothing I dislike about this product! I just hope it doesn't get discontinued. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAug 27, 2023
I bought shade 4 and liked it, but the color wasn't quite right, so I got shade 3 too. Texture: It's thin, light, and fluid. When applied with fingers, it feels like it's sitting on top of the skin. Using a latex sponge to spread and pat it in helps it absorb nicely. Matte finish: It's not so dry that it's hard to apply, but it has a nice semi-matte finish that's not too stiff. It doesn't crack or flake on dry skin. Works well on my combination dehydrated skin year-round, except in winter! In summer, the dewy finish disappears as oil comes through, so I need to blot once during the day. Value for money: Foundation can run out quickly with daily use, but this product has a generous amount in a sturdy glass bottle at an affordable price. Coverage: Being thin and light, it doesn't provide heavy coverage. I prefer a sheer makeup look, so it's fine for me, but those expecting full coverage from the 'Kill Cover' name might be disappointed. Product dispensing: While it spreads well so you don't need much, the pump is stiff, making it hard to dispense small amounts. Packaging: The sturdy glass bottle is nice, but its wide, angular shape isn't very ergonomic. Also, the cap tends to get messy. Will repurchase! Being a matte formula, it can pill if you use too many oily products underneath. Especially in summer, I found it applied more beautifully when I reduced my skincare layers. In winter, it sometimes doesn't sit as well, so I reach for it less. The photo compares shades 3 and 4. I have a light face but a tanned body, so finding the right foundation shade is tricky. I love brands with diverse color ranges. I ended up with two shades of this product, applying shade 4 on the outer parts of my face and shade 3 on the inner parts. They blend seamlessly, and I haven't experienced any blemishes. Overall, I'm very satisfied and enjoying using this product! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 24, 2023
I applied it with a spatula and patted it in with a damp sponge, and I absolutely loved it! The color is bright and lovely (I have yellowish skin with redness). My biggest worry was dryness, but even though I didn't use much skincare, I didn't feel any dryness at all. I think it might be because I applied it like a moisturizing sunscreen and used a damp sponge, but anyway, I'm really happy with it! There's nothing bad to say. The packaging is unique and pretty. Many people say it's drying, but I think it depends on your skincare routine and application tools. I'm very satisfied with it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 13, 2023
As someone with a darker complexion, I loved how naturally it applied like a second skin. I was worried because my skin tends to be dry, but even after hours of being out and about, I didn't feel any dryness. It was fantastic! If you don't prep your skin thoroughly, it might look a bit cakey and show dead skin cells. So I'd recommend doing a proper skincare routine beforehand. Applying it with a hydrating moisturizer seems to reduce the feeling of dryness even more. It also helps the makeup last longer and creates a more natural-looking complexion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 5, 2023
While it was a bit light for my 22-23 shade, the coverage was much better than my previous foundation. It also didn't leave my skin feeling too dry. If you don't properly prep your skin before applying, it can accentuate dead skin cells and slightly settle into smile lines. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 5, 2023
I love that it comes with a spatula! The coverage seems pretty decent too. At first application it felt a bit dry, but as it mixed with my skin's natural oils throughout the day, it created a beautiful complexion. I'm not sure if this is normal, but there were some patchy white spots that I couldn't quite figure out.
