Scent: It smells like a hinoki bath with a hint of red ginseng. I regularly consume red ginseng extract, so I'm less sensitive to the scent compared to others. (Though I'm not a fan of red ginseng candy.) The fragrance is natural and dissipates quickly. It's definitely not an overpowering red ginseng scent that others might find too strong. In fact, the houttuynia cordata and propolis extracts have much stronger scents. Texture: It's a very watery toner. You absolutely can't apply it by patting or placing it on your face - it'll just run off. I recommend getting an empty bottle from Daiso and using it as a mist spray. Otherwise, you'll waste a lot of product. Absorption and Hydration: On its own, it doesn't provide much hydration, but it does offer a bit of moisture. I think it's due to the red ginseng properties. The best way to use it is to spray it like a mist over your skincare routine (after applying emulsions, etc.). It leaves the skin feeling moist and the hydration lasts. Ingredients: 100% red ginseng extract... not much else to say. I appreciate its minimalist approach. Unique Benefits: It immediately reduces skin heat. It's much more effective than centella or houttuynia cordata extracts. I'm planning to switch from houttuynia cordata to this. While houttuynia cordata only feels cool and soothing when first applied, this red ginseng extract keeps the skin cool for a while. The cooling effect lasts surprisingly long. Other Notes: It has an easy-peel sticker, making recycling a breeze. You can write the opening date on the back of the container! It's clear they've considered consumer convenience.
ConsThe scent might be hit or miss for some, but since I'm used to taking herbal medicine and red ginseng, it just smells like a hinoki bath to me.
TipIt's incredibly effective at reducing skin heat. It calms the skin much faster than centella or houttuynia cordata, and the effects last longer.

And the price is only 5,000 won...? The simplicity and honesty of it really piqued my interest. First off, I loved the scent - it reminds me of ginseng candy. I know it's a polarizing fragrance, but I found the sweet aroma quite pleasant. The texture is watery, but with a hint of essence-like quality? It's hard to describe precisely. It's great for using as a mask by soaking cotton pads generously. Also, my mom is thrilled that it's made with ginseng!
ConsTo be honest, I don't think toners generally offer extraordinary functional benefits. I only expect toners to provide hydration, so I appreciate products like this. I didn't find anything particularly disappointing about it.
TipThe price point is fantastic. At this cost, it's great for trying out all three varieties and perfect for quick, simple mask applications.

Applying the ginseng scent to my skin gave me a sense that beneficial ingredients were being absorbed. After using it, I found it sinks into the skin gently, making it comfortable to use. The ginseng fragrance isn't artificial, but authentic, leaving a healthy impression rather than an odd scent. Skin benefits: While applying a moisturizing cream alone is good, using this toner before the cream seems to stabilize the skin. It gives me the feeling that I'm nourishing my skin, which is why I continue to use it regularly. Versatility: It's great that I can decant it into a travel bottle for on-the-go hydration and nourishment. The formula is versatile enough to use as a pack by soaking cotton pads, or as a mist, making it a triple threat! However, the scent might be polarizing for some users.
ConsScent: The strong ginseng smell is 100% noticeable, which might be divisive. I initially thought it was a subtle ginseng scent, but it's more like applying herbal medicine to your face, which can be off-putting. Skin feel: While it's moisturizing and nice, it might be more suitable for summer than winter. I'd especially recommend it for oily skin types rather than dry. As my skin is currently dry, using this alone doesn't provide enough hydration, so I'm using it in combination with other creams.

I was particularly drawn to Chaebee Space because of their vegan products! As someone who responds well to red ginseng, I decided to try their red ginseng formula. Being a fan of ginseng scents, I found the fragrance quite agreeable. It even gave me a sense of becoming healthier! After cleansing and applying toner, I used this product consistently for a week. It suited my dry skin perfectly. I also tried using it as a mask by generously soaking a cotton pad and leaving it on my face. The next morning, my skin felt wonderfully hydrated.
ConsWhile I enjoyed the scent, those who dislike strong fragrances or the smell of red ginseng might find it a bit overpowering.
