It seems the Athe brand isn't well-known, perhaps due to lack of advertising, despite having great products. This one, in particular, has an amazing feel. I've tried Dr. Different and COSRX retinol, but Athe's texture is truly exceptional. Dr. Different was too heavy for my oily skin - I tried to persevere but ended up tossing it. COSRX contained shea butter, which gives me acne, so I had to discard that too despite its good reviews. I was a real skincare nomad, even considering IOPE, but for me, the most important thing when buying cosmetics is whether I can use it consistently. IOPE was too pricey for regular use, but Athe is perfect in terms of price, texture, and finish. I alternate between this and their Vitamin C serum day and night. Athe truly provides the ideal formulation and feel for oily skin. I desperately hope they don't discontinue or go out of business! While it doesn't dramatically whiten or firm the skin, it does improve skin texture, making it soft and smooth. There are no downsides! Please don't discontinue this product! Oh, it would be great if they could make a higher concentration version as the next step up. When applied before bed, you'll wake up to velvety-soft skin in the morning. - js****Oily SkinRecommendedJun 29, 2024
The absorbs well and is relatively gentle for a retinol product. Of course, if you're new to retinol, it's best to start with small amounts and gradually build up tolerance. It makes your skin texture soft and supple. This has become a staple in my routine, and I'm on my umpteenth bottle. There's nothing particularly disappointing about this product while using it. It's a satisfying product overall. Use retinol products only in the evening, and when starting out, allow a 1-2 week adjustment period beginning with a tiny amount. - ek******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 8, 2024
When it comes to retinol skincare, you might worry about initial irritation. But this product proves those concerns unnecessary - it's gentle and helps create smooth skin without any sensitivity. The brand's low recognition made me hesitate before choosing it. - ji*****Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedDec 21, 2023
I used a 10ml sample and was amazed to see my pores visibly shrink. Honestly, I didn't expect much change... haha! The pores around my nose were particularly bad, but not only did they reduce in size, the sebum inside them also noticeably decreased. This product made me realize how much cosmetics have truly advanced. I usually apply it only before bed, but it's a bit drying for winter use. Even though I moisturized well with another cream, I still noticed some dead skin cells appearing. I'm planning to repurchase it in summer! I slathered it generously around my eyes and mouth area, and there was absolutely no irritation! - my***********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 12, 2023
I'm really satisfied with the Atté Retinol Ampoule as it doesn't cause irritation. I was previously using a retinal product, alternating days at first, then recently using it daily. When I used it alongside my skin ion device, there was some irritation, but the Atté Retinol Ampoule is less irritating. Advantages of Atté Retinol Ampoule: - Improves skin texture, helps with elasticity and pore care - Effective for firming and texture improvement with just a small amount - Despite being a retinol product, it's gentle, which is reassuring Usage Precautions: 1. For first-time retinol users, start with a tiny amount mixed with cream or ampoule, use every other day 2. Only use retinol products at night 3. Don't use alongside AHA or BHA skincare products that exfoliate 4. Use plenty of moisturizer to soothe potential skin irritation I've been consistently using Dr. Different's retinal cream, and I think I'll enjoy using this retinol ampoule too. When retinol products suit your skin, you can really see the difference in skin condition. They're very helpful for wrinkles and pore care. I felt some dryness after using the Atté Retinol Ampoule. So you need to be mindful about applying plenty of moisturizer. Also, when using it with a skin ion device, there can be some irritation, so you need to be careful about timing and application when using skin beauty devices. If you want to brighten your skin, try applying the Atté Retinol Ampoule after using Isoi Bulgarian Rose Ampoule. This combination helps manage skin tone, wrinkles, and brightening all at once with less irritation. It's especially good to apply a moisturizing cream after the retinol ampoule. - so*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedAug 6, 2023
I only used it in the evening and made sure to apply sunscreen during the day without fail. After about two days of use, I woke up the next morning to find my skin slightly rough, and I noticed two small blemishes in my butterfly zone, which I rarely get. From the third day onwards, my face became smoother and started to glow. People around me even asked what I'd done to my skin! Among retinol products, this one is gentle and absorbs incredibly well (I guess the first couple of days were just an adjustment period). It didn't clump, feel heavy, or get sticky at all. I tried using it with the cream that came with it, but it felt a bit dry for me. So, I applied a layer of barrier cream afterwards, and my skin stayed hydrated until morning. The texture is so nice that I'm planning to switch to this product permanently if it continues to work well with consistent use. I think the first couple of days were just an adjustment period. After using it for a few days, I didn't notice any blemishes or roughness on my face. - j-****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 1, 2023
My skin doesn't usually have many blemishes, but I tend to get one or two big ones before major environmental changes. I'm not sure if it's entirely due to this product, but since using the retinol ampoule, I haven't had any blemishes at all. Even the tiny, bump-like blemishes that occasionally pop up quickly settle down. I'm not sure about its effectiveness on pores since I didn't have particularly large pores to begin with, but it doesn't seem to have a significant impact on pore areas. Make sure to apply it at night! Retinol doesn't have sun protection, so it's not good to use during the day. I recommend using it in the evening. Also, start by applying it less frequently. I began with once a week, then twice a week, and gradually increased to three times a week. It might sting if applied to areas with active blemishes, so wait until they've calmed down a bit. The key is to use a tiny amount and spread it widely! - zn*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedFeb 2, 2023
I received this product a few months ago during a Hwahae event. As it was my first time using retinol, I initially applied it every other day as instructed, but the irritation was intense. After taking a break, I've been using it nightly for over a month now. As a retinol newbie, I thought I'd have to toss it when my skin started peeling, stinging, and feeling overly sensitive. But that was just the adjustment period! Now my face has a beautiful glow... I'm usually a skincare nomad, trying various products, but this and the Missha B'Plein are the only ones I've used consistently. They're amazing! Currently, my skin feels incredibly smooth after cleansing, with no dead skin cells or texture issues. I used to have blemish-prone skin, but most of that has cleared up. My complexion looks radiant and firm. Once I finish this, I'd definitely consider buying it with my own money. While I'm not sure about pore reduction, the overall improvement in my complexion and skin texture is remarkable. The healthy, bouncy glow is truly different. Just be warned - when you first start using it, your skin might feel extremely dry, flaky, and tingly! I'm not sure if it's actually tightening my pores. I've been focusing on applying it more to my T-zone area. For retinol beginners, never apply it directly to bare skin. Start by applying a light layer of toner and serum, then add a drop or two of retinol to problem areas (I add a few drops of B'Plein too, as I have dry skin). Finish with a rich moisturizer. I've been using this method for just over a month, and everyone's commenting on how good my skin looks and how it glows. I think I'll try applying it right after toner or serum next. - qo**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJan 27, 2023
Despite containing 0.15% retinol, it's surprisingly gentle on the skin and absorbs beautifully. Even though it has a high retinol content, I don't really notice much of an effect. - nn*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 27, 2022
I was really worried about irritation since it was my first time using retinol, especially with my blemish-prone skin. But surprisingly, there was no irritation at all! My skin texture became as soft as a baby's bottom, and I even noticed some reduction in my smile lines. I haven't seen significant effects on my pores yet, so I'm planning to continue using it consistently. It works great when applied with a silicone puff.
