Pros

It seems the Athe brand isn't well-known, perhaps due to lack of advertising, despite having great products. This one, in particular, has an amazing feel. I've tried Dr. Different and COSRX retinol, but Athe's texture is truly exceptional. Dr. Different was too heavy for my oily skin - I tried to persevere but ended up tossing it. COSRX contained shea butter, which gives me acne, so I had to discard that too despite its good reviews. I was a real skincare nomad, even considering IOPE, but for me, the most important thing when buying cosmetics is whether I can use it consistently. IOPE was too pricey for regular use, but Athe is perfect in terms of price, texture, and finish. I alternate between this and their Vitamin C serum day and night. Athe truly provides the ideal formulation and feel for oily skin. I desperately hope they don't discontinue or go out of business! While it doesn't dramatically whiten or firm the skin, it does improve skin texture, making it soft and smooth.

Even though I only used a 10ml sample, I was amazed to see my pores visibly shrink. I thought there wouldn't be much of a change...haha The pores on the sides of my nose were particularly problematic, but not only did the pore size decrease, the sebum inside the pores also reduced significantly. This was a product that made me feel the cosmetics industry has really advanced.

Cons

Pros

I only used it in the evenings and always applied sunscreen during the day. After using it for about 2 days, I woke up the next day and my skin felt a bit rough, and I developed a couple of small bumps on the T-zone area that don't usually appear. From the 3rd day onwards, my face became smoother and more radiant, and people around me started commenting on how good my skin looked. The retinol product is gentle and has an amazing application. Since this is my first time using retinol, even though I applied it every other day as instructed, the irritation was severe, so I took a break for a while. I've been applying it every night for over a month now. As a retinol beginner, at first, I thought I should throw it away because my skin was peeling, stinging, and too irritating. But that was all part of the adaptation process. Now, my face is glowing... I'm usually a cosmetic nomad, trying all sorts of products, but the ones I've been using consistently are this one and Missha Bioren, and I really love them. Currently, when I wash my face, there's no more rough texture or uneven skin, it's so smooth. I used to have problematic skin, but most of it has cleared up, and my skin looks plump and bouncy. I think I would even buy this product with my own money once I finish it. I'm not sure about the pore reduction claims, but the overall improvement in skin tone and bouncy, glowing complexion is really noticeable. However, when I first started using it, it was extremely drying, flaky, and stinging.
