I'm not quite sure about the downsides yet, as I've been using it with a high degree of satisfaction.

It feels refreshing to spray it on the scalp.
Spraying it on before drying the hair and massaging it in, then air-drying with cool air can significantly reduce scalp heat sensation.

1. It's incredibly refreshing the moment you spray it, like peppermint, and there's a cooling sensation. It seems effective at lowering scalp temperature.
2. The cost-effectiveness seems good. Other hair tonics are expensive, so if you plan to just use it as a pre-drying spray, I'd recommend it. It's decent.

Since it's a liquid type, it's normal for it to drip when applied, but it flowed all the way to my forehead, making it feel like I've applied a medicated patch there. Haha.
