I have combination dehydrated skin that's prone to blemishes and very sensitive. While this product didn't help with my blemishes, I wasn't expecting it to, so that's okay. The absorption isn't amazing, but it does sink in decently. A few years ago, I tried that famous Red Blemish Cream Original(?) - this isn't as heavy as that one. It feels richer and more emollient. It's hard to say which is better, especially since my skin barrier was completely compromised back then. I'd say choose whichever texture you prefer between the two. At first, I didn't like how rich it felt, but as I kept using it, my skin adapted and it became more comfortable. Some people suggest using this as a face mask, but I personally didn't enjoy that. It felt too rich for me when applied that way.
