Minimal excess powder and great color payoff. The neutral tone makes it suitable as a base shadow for both warm and cool skin tones. It's perfect for those days when I don't do a full eye makeup but still want to apply something to my double eyelids where cushion foundation tends to settle. It's a perfect match! Comparing it to the VDL Ginger Rose I already own, both work well as base shadows with good pigmentation. There's a slight difference in color - Ginger Rose has a slightly redder tint, while Bare Nude is more of a neutral beige. In the arm swatch, Ginger Rose is on top and Bare Nude is below. There's nothing particularly disappointing about this product. For skin tones around 13-17, it has a slightly richer pigmentation. Perfect for adding a subtle shadow up to the double eyelid line. The color particles are fine, don't create excess fallout, and adhere well to the skin. Even on dry skin, it doesn't look cakey, making it great for a fresh, clear application. There's a subtle pearl effect which I actually really liked. It's great for applying both above and below the eyes, but especially when applied to the aegyo-sal (under-eye area), it creates a natural-looking volume without being obvious. It would be nice if there was a shade between Cotton Nude and Bare Nude.
