Despite its thickness, this mask doesn't give you that 'hydration explosion!' feeling. It's not even as hydrating as thinner masks. It's more like having a cool silicone sheet on your face. However, the cooling effect is so intense it can make your skin tingle! There's a noticeable scent as soon as you open the foil package. It's that 'mom's cosmetics' kind of smell... The packaging says to leave the mask on for 30 minutes, but even though I'm not particularly sensitive, I think those who are sensitive to fragrances might get a headache if they keep it on that long... I only wear it for about 15 minutes. The mask is on the smaller side. It's thick but small, and it doesn't seem to fit the contours of the face well, so it lifts in places... Even if you apply it carefully, moistening it with toner and trying not to move your facial muscles, it still lifts around the nose, mouth, chin, and corners of the eyes.
