  Pros

  As someone with a light undertone, I've always found black mascara too intense and brown mascara too subtle. I was searching for the perfect in-between shade when I discovered this ash-colored option. I didn't have high expectations, but after applying it, I was pleasantly surprised. It's exactly the right balance between black and brown that I've been looking for. The mascara applies smoothly without clumping, and the thin brush allows for precise application, even on the lower lashes, without smudging on the skin. As for its lengthening properties, I'm quite satisfied. While the curl might not hold perfectly on its own, a thorough eyelash curler session beforehand should do the trick. I have oily skin, which often causes my eye makeup to smudge. While I've managed to find solutions for eyeliner, mascara has always been a challenge - it's just a matter of how quickly it smudges. Fortunately, this Hwahae mascara holds up longer than most and smudges later rather than sooner, so I don't need to touch up as frequently. Plus, because it's ash-colored, even when it does smudge, it doesn't leave noticeable dark marks under my eyes.

  Cons

  It's not completely smudge-proof. You'll need to remove excess oil from your eye area periodically throughout the day.

  Color: A natural ash dark brown shade that creates defined lashes without looking too artificial Length: The synthetic fibers seamlessly extend your lashes, making them look naturally longer as if they were your own Staying power: The fixing power is out of this world! Even if you accidentally rub your eyes, the mascara stays put. That's how long-lasting it is

  Clumping: You need to control the amount carefully for a beautiful application The wand isn't particularly dense, so it tends to clump easily

  Pros

  First off, it didn't clump much, which was great. Other mascaras tend to clump and stick to my lashes, but this one didn't have that issue. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a color between black and brown.

  Cons

  However, the color payoff isn't very intense. You need to apply it quite thickly for people to notice you're wearing mascara.
