  Since I have oily eyelids, the black mascara looks too dark, but the brown mascara feels ambiguous as to whether it's applied properly or not, so I was looking for the right color. I tried Hwahae and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't have high expectations, but when I applied it, the color was just right, between black and brown. It applies smoothly without clumping, and the thin brush allows me to apply it to the lower lashes without getting on my skin, so it goes on cleanly and neatly. I'm satisfied with the lengthening effect, and if I use the eyelash curler thoroughly, the curl holds well, though it may droop a bit if I just apply it. My eye makeup tends to smear because of my oily skin, and while I can manage the eyeliner, the mascara smears no matter what I use, the only difference being how quickly it happens. The Hwahae mascara, however, lasts longer before smearing, so I don't have to touch it up as often. And even when it does smear, it doesn't make the area under my eyes look excessively dark.
