The texture is a translucent white with a floral scent and a slippery feel. It tends to run a bit right after squeezing it out of the tube, so you need to apply it quickly and evenly. It's not too difficult, though. I spread a thick layer over my entire face and down to my neck, then wait about 30 minutes until it dries completely into a transparent film-like texture before peeling it off. Unlike old-school peel-off masks, there's absolutely no irritation when removing it. After peeling, my skin feels smooth, radiant, and hydrated without any burdensome oiliness or stickiness. It's like seeing a peeled egg in my own skin! Gently patting in any residue and following up with a moisturizer slightly reduces the glow. When used after an evening shower, I feel the effects last until about the next morning. They say using it consecutively yields better results, so I use it daily for 5-7 days, then take a break for about 3 weeks before starting the cycle again. When applied in a moderately thick layer, it seems one tube lasts for about 8-10 uses. Considering the price, it's quite extravagant. Using it consecutively for about a week yields even better results. If you can spare some, it's good to use on neck wrinkles too. A dedicated spatula isn't really necessary.
