It's true what everyone says about the poor staying power. However, I just carry it in my makeup bag and reapply once or twice during the day. Some people mention issues with pigmentation, but I think that's because they're not wiping the applicator before use. One downside of this product is that after the first use, either the surface hardens or eyeshadow residue affects the color payoff. But I always wipe it with a tissue before use. What can I say? It's just too pretty to give up!

The best thing about this product is how pretty it looks! You can achieve such a lovely, atmospheric aegyo-sal (under-eye puff). I have shades 1, 9, and 10, but please, do yourself a favor and get shade 9 'Sheer Nude'. It's perfect regardless of whether you're warm or cool-toned - just buy it! It's a daily aegyo-sal product that works for everyone. Shade 10 is more about the color than the pearl effect, with a beautiful fig hue. I used it a lot for light undertone makeup. While the color isn't particularly light, I found it a bit intense when used alone under the eyes, so I either applied it on the eyelids or mixed it with other colors for under-eye use.

The tip is a bit soft, so you'll need to sharpen it frequently, which can be a bit of a hassle. It may not last long on oily skin or if you tend to sweat a lot.

The natural shading color is great for nose contouring and versatile enough for eyebrows too. Its pencil format makes it easy to control, even for beginners, and it applies smoothly without clumping.

In my opinion, the shade was a bit too dark for creating a subtle shadow on the aegyo-sal area.

As someone who regularly uses Protage pencils, I typically do my eye makeup with Sheer Nude, Shining Linen, and Rosy Dew shades. The biggest advantage of Protage is how convenient and easy it makes eye makeup application. Being a pencil type, you can simply glide it on, which is great for not just the aegyo-sal (under-eye area) but also for applying shadow to the eyelids! The shade I used this time is Classy Fig, which true to its name, has a mauve-tinted shadowy effect. It was perfect for applying to the triangle zone and for overlining the lips. I liked that the color payoff was stronger than my usual choices. Highly recommended!

To avoid disappointment, it's best to swatch the Protage pencils at Olive Young before purchasing.

While it's a bit inconvenient that you can't sharpen it without a pencil sharpener, they do provide one, so it's not a major drawback. The color applies well but fades quickly. If you want intense pigmentation, you'll need to reapply throughout the day. The round cap can be a nuisance as it tends to roll away and fall when set down during application. The pearl adhesion isn't particularly strong, and blending is essential, but be careful as some glitter may fall off during blending.

The design is stunning and beautiful. Being a pencil type, it has a generous amount of product that can be used to the very end. The shade is particularly flattering for those with light undertones or cool summer complexions.

For those who want to pack light but still carry blush and an overlip liner - this one product does it all! However, due to the shimmer, I suggest applying it lightly just above your lip line.
